By running it up the middle on first down almost everytime.....Bajakian's gotta get creative somehow like disguising our players in referee outfits or something. Gotta be like a ninja and be sneaky :ninja: Go for broke or something like that.....just saying.
I would like to see the offense milk the clock, as opposed to the up tempo. We are going to have plenty of 3 and outs. We need to kill every second possible.
IE: We have to keep them guessing. That fact is over some people's heads...simple as it is.:thud:I get what youre saying but look at it from a coach's perspective. If we throw on 1st down and its incomplete then we're in a second and long. If we're in 2nd and long and have another incompletion the drive is most likely over because we don't convert many 3rd and 8+. If we run on 2nd and 10 we likely only gain around 3-4 yards which sets us up in an unfavorable position. Running on first down sets up a shorter 2nd down, giving us the option to run or pass on 2nd down and have a better chance of getting a 1st down or more manageable 3rd down. This team CAN NOT convert 3rd and longs. There is simply no time for Worley to let routes develop.

I know enough that you cant run the same plays over and over and expect to fool the opposing defense
So... Double reverses and fake screens every play? Those are the two most successful plays we have had, so...
I just think its funny how some people on here are bashing the play calling when the number of plays you can run with negligible input from the Oline can be counted on one hand.
Well if the line is all we got and the play calling isnt working just like you say, then what do we have to lose if we go a different route in play calling. hhhmmmmmm. just saying
I have to agree with you on that. Seems like we're wasting one play on every series by running a "smash" that goes absolutely nowhere. It's like playing with 3 downs instead of 4 the whole game.
