I don't mean to jinx Tennessee and I'm not turning into Nationdom, but I think Tennessee wins.

I don't completely trust Tennessee's defense, but I think they find a way to get it done at home.

I will say this. The Bama dynasty is indeed over. Now, I need to clarify what I mean by that as it goes to show how truly unbelievable they have been.

Alabama can win the national title and I'd still feel the same way. But, Alabama had been so good that the thought of beating them was almost unthinkable. For the last 2 seasons now (3 on defense), Alabama looks human. Still going to win a lot of games. Still going to compete for championships, but they don't carry the same armor of invincibility they once did.

Alabama played 6 games in 2021 that they either lost or won by 7 points or less. They have 2 such games this year. That's 8 of the last 21 games. They lost or won by 7 or less in the previous 71 games (2016-2020) a total of 9 times.

I don't think they carry the same level of fear factor when they take the field that they once did. Don't misunderstand, I would love to be as "human" as them. But, i think you get the point. What once felt like a matchup against the 92 Cowboys now feels like a matchup against a really damn good college football team. Difficult, but it can be done.

Tennessee gets it done Saturday.

Rat poison indeed. Bama still has many more 4 and 5 stars than we do a better offensive line and better defense, better running backs and a heisman winning QB along with a 7 time national champion legendary coach. Tennessee hasn’t played in a game of this magnitude since 2001 and Alabama plays in one of these games or two every season. Tennessee has a good chance to twin no doubt but it will take a near flawless performance and the best game they have played yet under Heupel. Unfortunately I think Will Anderson will create problems for us on offense and our secondary is gonna give up big pass plays. We will have to win this game in a shootout. If Bama has the ball down 3 or 4 with 2 minutes in the game. Do you really trust our secondary to stop them and Bryce who is really clutch.

this team is not the team of old.. this team plays for fun and for the coach to get to Atlanta. those gumps plays for a coach is now old and dry, losing the pipe line on his dynasty .. our team plays for a coach who is thriving to win and keep winning making it fun.. who out of both coaches are you gonna the play the hardest for as a recruit.. we got 3 stars lighting the world on fire.. they got 5 stars looking at each blaming one another..

Let's don't get too giddy, Bama still has a huge advantage in depth on both LOS and across the board. These games are won in the trenches. Their guys will be rested in the 4th quarter if it's a close game. It will take UT's best game to win.

We have much better depth this year but they still have more and are deeper.

You’re not wrong. That said we have a pretty deep rotation of dlinemen. Our Oline is pretty good as well, running back pass protection has been suspect. Bama will not get to substitute unless they can get off the field early on defense. We will see. I feel like for the first time in a great long while we can be competitive in this game.

I am riding with Heup on enjoying the moment and not fighting it. I hope we win. I think we can. I do wish the fight had not happened from a distraction standpoint.

There are too many unknowns for me:
The health of several key players on both sides most notably Bama QB
Refs - which crew do we get.
Have they been informed that Bama never holds.
Luck - will we get some good bounces like we did at LSU.
Who knows? But after 15 years, is it finally our turn? 🙏

Gibbs scares me more than Young. He has that it factor in the open field. Has the speed to burn anyone and they will try to get him isolated on our lbs. That stretch play they run has got him a lot of yds. He broke the Arkansas game open on it with 2 long Tds. Had a couple long runs against A&M on it.
One thing different this year is I don't think we will be worn down in the 4th qt.as previous years because we finally got some depth with our front 7.
If we can maintain and get it to the 4th I like our chances. We need all gas and no brakes even if we're up a couple of scores.

No doubt will Anderson will be a problem. To me that means get the ball out quick like with lsu. I’d expect Saban to put his guys on tight man on wrs which may jam us up on screens and such but JH loves the one on one matchups and if you bite short we will ge your fair share of chances deep

Almost think Gibbs is worth a shadow. He’s dang electric…kamara with a coach that knows how to get him the ball.

This is our best shot in at least a decade.

I truly believe that if we are going to take Bama down, we have to do the same thing we did at LSU. Namely put then down by 20 early. Make them start questioning themselves that maybe it's just not their day.

It comes down to a nail biter, we lose. Not being a Nega Vol but the refs are going to see to it that every call will go Bama's way. Our simplest path to victory is to come out full of mustard and vinegar and smack them. All gas no brakes.

If our LSU D shows up , I dont think Bama can hang with our offense. If our D can get us 3-4 3 and outs then Bama is going down the same way as LSU. For Bama to beat TN , I will have to see it to believe it. The luster started coming off Bama last year and now its really showing. This is not a Bama type team from 3-4 years ago. jmo

A&M game last year and this year and Texas game this year prompted a similar thought. Have to play best game possible. They are used to winning close ones . So will have to instill some doubt in back of their minds. Pick six or block punt TD that will produce ground shaking decibels from 102,000 orange clad testosterone jacked moonshine infused hillbillies.
