Agreed, you have to admit his D is as pitiful as MU's. The talent isnt there, OU was not going to be denied tonite. I thought their O would produce a better product, but seriously thought they would'nt lay an egg as big as they did on the national stage. That was one ugly game to watch unless you are an OU fan.

Brian Kelly may take Cincy to the BCS. I am really starting to feel like he'll be the guy we hire.

I am still a Leach fan, but if Kelly goes to the BCS and wins or is competitive, I might change camps.

I would have liked to seen our defense against oklahoma last nite. Leaches "D" looked like our offense...horrendous !

Assuming now that Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas wins out, who will represent the Big 12 south in their conference championship game?

I still think it will be Leach or Kelly.

If Leach wins out, he will still only have 1 loss

I could go with that...if we can't get Bob Stoops. Texas Tech has not made me a believer...and I HATE the black head to toe look.

Give me white socks...they look so good on the No 1 team.

How can someone not see his offense is one dimensional and he has no defense . Yeah let's get that so a team with a good d-line can blow up our line and totally shut us down. got to be frickin kidding me.

Leach is 2-7 against Texas and now 2-7 against OU....believe he would do no better against guys UF, BAMA, GA or LSU.

Hat...what does your disdain for Leach stem from?

It starts with championships and one's ability or inability to win them.

Leach is like Fulmer but with more losses, fewer big wins, no championships (even if you count division titles), no ability to recruit talent, only a handful of NFL plays, and no BCS games ever.

Think about everything we Fulmerites talked about in defense of CPF, take those strengths away, and what you have left is Mike Leach. Thus, Leach is a step backwards from Fulmer.

Hamilton must have always known that and surely he does now. Hiring Leach would be a huge mistake.

What do you tell recruits? I led my best team ever to a gap less than the gap between UF and the Citadel, barely. Image what I can do at UT?

My worse case scenario has been avoided, at least. If Leach had won out and UF had won out, and we had hired Leach, UF would have hung 70+ on them and likely held them to even fewer points than they managed agaist OU. It would have been a tremendous embarssment to UT having hired someone who proves his capacity to get whipped by UF even before his first day on the job.

Two words for Leach: Good riddance!

Thats a great explanation and I personally have never wanted Leach as our coach...as bad as it is I have to admit that I have hoped at times that Harrell would get injured(nothing horrible...maybe a sprained ankle or something small like that) while Leach was leaving him in to run the score up...

But I was wondering why Hat has such a low opinion of him because some of the things he's said seem like they're more about Leach as a person...not just a coach

You really think Leach was a serious candidate at UT to begin with? And if so, Hamilton would base his decision on Leach on a single game performance?
