Ya know, at the beginning of the season, I had high expectations for this team. I was so excited to see how our team would develop this 2016-2017 season. 3 years being on Volnation, I don't think I've ever seen a fanbase such as ours, make me so sick to my stomach. We were coming into this Bama game outmatched, too many injuries, and not mentally prepared to win this game. I've seen probably over 100 posts bashing the players, bashing the coaching staff, and the program in general. It's sad because there's actually some folks on here to have a great conversation about football but it's getting overun by trolls and posters who just want to find every little negative thing to say about our football program. I'm honestly tired of it and having to put up with it. Butch isn't perfect and he'll never be Nick Saban but he's tried to bring this program back to prominence. He truly does care about this program and that's more you can say about Dooley and Kiffin. I'm not giving up on this team after this game. I'm not going to call for the coaching staff's head or start "Fire Butch!" threads. I'm going to continue to support my team win or lose. We still have a chance to win the East. The season ISN'T over yet. There's still more football to be played. You have to stop overlooking the positives and lay off the negatives every once in a while cause if you do that, you're going to be living a miserable life. Like I said, go on and start making jokes about me and this thread but it's not going to change the fact that our fanbase is really embarrassing right now. I really thought we was better than this but I guess I was wrong. I understand being frustrated. Hell I even get frustrated with this team at times but there's no reason why we should be making fun of our players and hoping that they fail the rest of the season all because we were outmatched against a possible National Championship squad. There's not much Butch could have done today. I'm sorry but it is what it is. Flame away guys.

I agree. But why hold back Dobbs? Why not unbuckled the offense? they played like they could muscle them.

Wasn't pretty today, it is what it is. Bye week, get healthy......need to run the table, reach the SECCG. Still lots of football left. Bama is just that good.

We had to know this game was going to end poorly. We have had 4 tough sec games in a row without a bye. The injuries have piled up. I just hope we can regroup get some injuries healed and win out.

Butch has tried? LOLOLOL. We'll whooopeee. What do we get for Butch trying? This guy is fraud between the lines. If you want to progress from trying to actually winning something...then you have to replace Butch. He isn't cut out to compete at the top of the SEC.

I've always been positive and have voiced that on the board, but there isn't much to be positive about today. Our coaches look like they mailed it in for the bye week today.

And don't confuse negativity as "bad conversation" or trolling. We saw much to be negative about today from the coaching staff and are voicing it on a message board for TN Vol fans. As long as there is no personal bashing of players, for whom I have the utmost respect, this is acceptable conversation after an embarrassing loss to our most hated rival.

This week sucked.

We literally played our second string OL today. Against Nick Sabah. What did you people expect?

2 things.....

1. Our offense was even more predictable today than it has been the whole season. I don't remember any attempt to throw past the sticks on 3rd down. That's not going to fly against the top team in the past decade when missing half your starters.

2. I think way too many people are naive to the fact that fans of other teams likely frequent this forum masquerading behind a "vol" username.

You should have posted this in your other thread. You know, the one where you said you were confident In a UT win

You fail to see that our frustrations make us one of the best fan bases out there. Would you rather have a fan base that doesn't care or just disappears? Or worse, a fan base that accepts mediocrity? That's not what made Tennessee one of the top college football programs of all time and you'd be best served learning that fast.

What's embarrassing is losing 49 -10 to a rival wearing helmets with stupid numbers on each side
