There are always people from some 3rd world country that posts games live on youtube. Not youtube TV, but just straight out youtube. I have been watching games this way for several years now. Sometimes the game might be behind 30 seconds to a minute but that's okay with me.

Ummm...yeah. what do you have against it? Price? Still cheaper than cable.
I don't have cable. Direct TV is close to cable but I find it to be very reliable. If I had You Tube, I would have to have a couple more streaming services to get what I have with DTV. I don't like the DTV/ATT link but it is what it is. I just don't care for having to deal with multiple streaming services. The only time I even look at Amazon Prime is for Thursday football.

YouTube TV has approximately 9.4 million subscribers as of April 2025, according to analyst estimates. This makes it the largest internet-streaming subscription TV service in the United States.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around why anyone does streaming TV. My neighbors "cut the cable" to cut prices and now they pay more than I do for Direct TV. They have to have several different services. To me, that would be a lot to manage. I also have an indoor terrestrial antenna, in case of emergency.
To be honest, we don't watch that much TV. I have Sirius/XM in my car and, of the 247 channels, I tune to 2 of them (80-ESPN; and 90-NASCAR).

What does DTV have that YT doesn't and how much are you paying?

Ever had to watch a game in a storm? Or anything in a storm that is? I know you can watch Directv on the phone but streaming tv is much easier. Better DVR. I am getting annoyed with all the price hikes. And the UI could be a bit better.

I watch on YouTube a lot when I'm out of town. Been streaming this link while sitting in Poland with no real issues.

Never really have trouble streaming college games via YouTube. NFL shuts those streams down quick.
