There are quite a few Vol fans that live in Texas also. I have two employees and their wives that are going to the game in orange as well as several friends from Dallas.
Can't speak for the local craft beers but if your a whiskey drinker, try a glass of Balcones Single Malt. Distilled in Waco and a very fine malt whiskey. It may be hard to find. Sells out fast.
Try St Arnold brews. They have a variety of styles and are all good. We are 2 hours away from College Station. We will meet y'all early in the morning around Reed Arena and Spence Park. Also try Karbach brews. The Oktoberfest is nice
Well Tennessee did help out the state of Texas once upon a time so it doesn't surprise me that there are a lot of people with Tennessee ties down there. I will say this, I was listening to Press Row here in Chattanooga the other day and I could've sworn that Wells Guthrie or one of them said they thought College Station was not a great college town compared to some of the great SEC towns. Not sure if this is true or if he may have been talking about a different town but I thought he said College Station. I've personally never been to Texas so I know I can't speak for or against it but I find that hard to believe considering how big football is in Texas. Anyone on here ever experienced College Station and what are your opinions of the town?
