That you will always do no matter what? Doesnt have to be in game playcalling but thats what got me thinking.
A couple things for me, if the punter is standing at his own 5 or less, Im sending the house for the block without fail.
Unless I lose yards, if Im at the half yard line Im running the ball until either we score or we turn it over.
And above all, when we need to go for 2 = consult the chart. šŸ˜‰

I don't understand why guys fair catch punts inside the 10 yardline these days. I'd always been taught plant your feet on the ten and do not back up.

I think some coaches have changed this to the 5 yard-line and they aren't wrong. If the ball bounces at the 9, odds are high that your drive is starting at the 1. NCAA coverage teams are too good for the old rule.

With this new kickoff rule, if a guy brings the ball out from 1 yard deep Im probably kicking him off the team lol

No doubt things have changed. But a couple times last week I saw guys fair catch on the 7. I think I'd take that chance at the college level. You're right though, guys get down the field faster than ever

I absolutely hate punting on 4th and less than 1. Especially if I'm an underdog, I'm going for it, from 20 to 20 on 4th and less than one.

Always, no never...no, always. Hell, I don't remember.

Always play it by ear. Inspiration will come when needed.

Never live by truisms. Even this one. It's gonna be wrong sometimes.

When at first you don't succeed, log into VolNation to talk about how you should've. In fact, you actually did, the people around you just didn't recognize it for the success that it really was.

I guess that's about it. If I have more mondo insights, I'll post an addendum.
