Threads like this is why I don't post in here or the football forum much anymore. Way too much negativity. Are things as good as we want them to be? No. Are things as bad as everyone thinks? No.

Yeh that pretty much sums it up. It was just a nightmarish rerun from years past where we had this one and that one in the bag only to be empty on NSD.

Ok I'm nowhere near happy with this class, but just because I'm not happy about it as a fan doesn't mean those that are happy with it aren't .
Sorry but this is the dumbest thread of the day. Just because someone doesn't feel the same way you do about something regarding the team doesn't make them any less, or you any more, of a fan.
All the people that are happy with this class have their reasons for feeling that way just like i have my reasons for not being happy with this class. They could just as easily create a thread saying those who are unhappy with this class aren't really fans, but they probably thought about it and realized how idiotic and childish that would be.
When will people learn that most here are fans and just because they have different views and opinions than you that doesn't make them any less of a fan. After the past few years its pretty stupid to question someones fandom anyway as it takes a pretty dedicated person to continue to cheer for the product that we've seen put out on that field.

I totally agree we have to win some games. When was the last time we won a big game? Was it Georgia when Kiffin was here? If so that's a long time. Until we win on the field we will not win on the recruiting trail. These Kids are too young to remember the dominating days of UT. We have to do something now. JMO

Thanks to the way the last staff left, this class was a dumpster fire. Start the moaning there.

But this Cincy staff just came off of finishing 10-3, with a bowl win, and ranked in the National Top 25 with 2012 recruiting class ranked in the 30s.

We're gonna be fine. More than fine, we'll be GREAT! Catch your breath and chill out. :fool:

Yet another asinine statement. First, it's Dooley's fault we don't have Bell. He stated yesterday that he had never seen him play. Second, Dooley had a top 15 class because Kiffin laid the ground work for him. With the program being in shambles the past 4 years, as Vols we have to show these kids that this is still an elite program.
His high school coach even just said on the Ainge show that CBJ is an amazing coach and man. He just didn't have enough time to get the bad taste out of the Bell's mouths from Dooley.

The main reason we have turned into the train wreck we currently are is that we have had 4 coaches in 3 years. Quickly firing another one isn't going to fix a thing.

Aside from your post being an abomination of grammar, you raise zero good points. Jones is the 3rd coach we have had since fulmer was fired in 2008, we have had 2 winning seasons since 2007 and yet Jones, in only 7 weeks, pulled together a top 25 class. I am pleased to see this and I recognize that we are a long way from being back. I think that Butch Jones has shown us that we have reason to be optimistic, he says the right things and he looks like he really is enjoying being the head football coach at UT and right now that's enough for me.

Could you all imagine the turmoil and despair this board would of had if Dooley somehow how was still our coach and finished with a class ranking in the 40's.
