Lets say Laimason.(spelling?) know the offense just as well as everyone else. Who do you put under center against WKY?

Me personally..... I would probably go Laimason. I don't know why I just have a gut feeling he would run the offense better with his decision making. jmo

given that set of circumstances, if all QBs equally know the playbook, I just know that crompton would be 3rd string on my team.

If Laimason was able to participate in the spring, maybe I'd feel more comfortable playing (still probably not starting) him, but I'm not sure he gets much PT this year. I feel like either Crompton or Stephens will be able to be serviceable this year behind a solid o-line and running game. Or I hope so anyway.

Out of the possible choices. Well, I'd much rather poop broken glass than start Crompton or Stephens.

Maybe try and convert Gerald Jones back into a quarterback would be my first option.

I'd start the guy that looks the best in the scrimmages. That would probably be Lamaison...

Crompton will win the job and pull a Rick Clausen like season out and we will go 9 and 4. I know this will happen as I am clearlybouyant.

Why? Because he's fast? I bet you play with Ohio State on NCAA 10...or with UF.

If I was the coach, I'd start whoever looks best in the fall. Why do we try to overanalyze this? They will start whomever they think gives us the best chance to win.

If we have an o line that can't pass block, I would start hatvol.

If I were coach, Crompton gets a clean start. The past is the past and we begin fresh. If he plays well in the opener, he stays. If he starts throwing those nail drivers again, he sits. I have not given up on the young man and still hold out hope that a new, less complicated scheme will help this team a great deal. But then I am not now, nor have I ever been a football coach.

:salute:

It would depend on who looked better in practice. If Crompton looks good and plays well against WKU, he's the man. If he blows, Stephens comes in the 2nd half and will get starting snaps in practice the next week.

If it is an open competition I think both JC and NS are in trouble Lamaison may take it . No pyscho-analysis needed on this kid . He knows he can play - something the other two may have forgot.

p.s. I really am pulling for JC just have that nagging feeling he is unrepairable

Whoever looks the best in practice. Most likely that will be JC, and since he's got more experience playing in front of a large crowd, but as soon as he screws up, take him out and put NS or Laimason in.

ya of course we would all start who looks the best. I think I thought of this because of how TERRIBLE we were last year at QB. Clawson or no Clawson that doesn't hinder a QB to make good decisions with the ball. Whomever can hit the open receiver without bouncing it or getting it tipped at the line by a Wyoming QB is my choice. The only reason I's be hesitant of Laimason is going to the Swamp and Bama. But hey if he's got the Casey Clausen aka the win on the road syndrome put that boy in.
