You know what's involved with the buy outs of coaches, the time line before signing day and the place we are now and you have to make the decision for what is best for not just the fans but the long term success of the program and sports programs at the school what do you do. It is not about a wish list but a doable hire that would make most of the people from the Admin and Boosters all the way to the fans happy........it is all on you.

Freeze is blocked by the SEC. Fisher stupid. Herman hell no! Chadwell no Marrone no obrien mayyybbbeee. Billy is decent Gus yes the hire we need but not the hire for playoffs
Freeze has supposed to have been given his blessing from Sankey. No longer show caused or blocked from working in the conference.

Remember if go after Freeze and owe Pruitt money it could be between $ 10-20 million just to get him counting buy outs and the like and not counting his salary so would everybody be happy? Wouldn't bother me but then again I don't know what the CPA's say.

We’ll end up with someone like Marrone or gasp Tee Martin.

If we’re not going to get somebody like Campbell or on that level. I would get freeze or Chadwell or hell even Napier.

What would I do knowing about buyouts? Do about what?

Real dumb poll. Did you take English class on Zoom?

Well anyone with a relatively active amount of intelligence should be able to fill in the blanks so I'll help:

What would you do......that means you have a choice to pick a coach from the list.

Knowing about the buy outs......some of those coaches have buyouts and some do not.

Buy outs are funds owed to the school you are hiring said coach from.

Granted I should have proof read before I posted so I do apologies.

I don’t understand how for as long as we’ve been talking about possible coaches, not everybody knows freeze is free from his work restraining order in the sec. Some people are not paying attention. 🙄

If Pruitt is not fired with cause, he'll be our coach in the fall

Right but wasn’t that like early December then he didn’t get the Auburn job. Harsin got the job like 3 days before Christmas. Even though on paper he was welcomed back it was still a no go behind closed doors.

Make Matt Campbell say no (which he will), and then go hire the only guy on the list to play for a national Championship and win an SEC title.
What about Fickell? Why is he not getting more attention? Is he just that much of a longshot like Cambell?

Was he even on Auburn's wish list? And I am not talking about the fans.

It amazes me the amount of people who say no to Tom Herman he would be a big upgrade here. I’m not saying he’s my first choice but he would win here.
Texas is a very weird job there is more politics and drama behind the scenes much worse than here and obviously that’s bad. Would he win a championship here idk, but people say he couldn’t win in a weak big 12. Okay so he couldn’t beat a rolling OU, and a rising Iowa State, but if we simply look at what your supposed to do, he beats down smaller competition (meanwhile Pruitt lost or escaped weak competition) and Tom Herman beats the teams he supposed to will he lose a toss up? Sure. But typically wins the games he’s supposed to. Next his teams always put up a lot of points (people say big 12, but honestly the SEC in recent years has been shootouts by elite teams so offense is a premium now. (Meanwhile with Pruitt offense was enemic)
I would be happy if we hired Herman and he did his offensive staff and on defense bring Kevin Steele and Rodney garner over, (or muschamp as DC) that type of combo could be pretty good. He averaged 8 wins a year over 4 years I'd take that here after the misery we've had the past 12-15 years.

In our situation, I'd probably pick Bill O'Brian. He did a great job in the wake of the PSU scandal. I'd be much happier with any name on the list vs Pruitt or anyone else Fulmer interviewed.

Based on nothing but my opinion of the candidates' potential ability to rebuild the program sooner rather than later, thereby having UT being competitive within a year or two:

Malzahn/Freeze/O'Brien - either of these (no certain order)

Now for a dark horse candidate that some may have to Google, AND if the Admin tries to go the "cheaper" route, give this guy a call:

Phil Longo - great offensive mind and experience; works with, and gets the the most out of, the talent available. (Note: preference would be to have him as an OC with one of the above mentioned names)
