this is a positive thread.........we don't want you on here!! SO, with that in mind.....I think we match up extremely well to their defense and I think our D rising to the top.....if they make gains like they did the previous week, we will beat Florida 31 - 10

Say something for the VOLS "nice" and support your team or goto another SADWAGON thread!!

GO VOLS!!!!!

you may not think this is positive because i dont think tn can win, but i think they will keep it close thru 3 quarters, then fla score a couple late for a 34 - 10 win

i figure we lost by one at home last year, so give florida 3 points for being at home, and credit the rest of the difference to us still having Fulmer as coach

It's the delusional Vol fans like you that crack me up.

I think we can, I don't think we will... And my mindset has nothing to do with the team.

Going back a few years, Fulmer is 11-15 against ranked teams...so I know where I'd put my money.

If I was a Florida fan, I would be worried. If you know the vols over the last several years, the games that they are big underdogs and play away from home and nobody gives them a chance, those are the games THEY WILL WIN! If you don't believe me, come back and we'll talk about it Saturday night after the game. GO VOLS!:)

The good: I am not completely convinced of the defensive or offensive product Florida will put on the field Saturday.

The bad: I have a pretty good idea about the shape of the UT defense.

The ugly: if Florida can run the ball, we better have an aggressive offensive game plan, and we better not let up, because we are going to have to outscore them. That will take more than a few TDs.

That's funny! You negative thinkers just can't help yourselves can you? I like this team a bunch and I think their real close to achieving an offensive balance and a defensive identity. This game is always close but I look for the offense to continue to protect the ball and the defense to force a big turnover that leads to a VOL WIN! VOLS 28-24

i really like the optimism on the board. all my gator friends refer to the VN board for information concerning the UT program. they laugh at how many holes we have in the boat...at least that what it sounds like when reading the board at times. everyone has their issues, but let's keep these positive threads. thanks goodolerockytop2. Yes, but that includes 2 seasons where the Vols were not championship contenders and were 1-9 against ranked opponents.

From 1993-1998, the Vols were 18-9 versus ranked opponents, including 6-0 in 1998. In the other seasons besides 1998, the Vols were 12-9 versus ranked opponents.

From 1999-2006, the Vols were 17-22 versus ranked opponents, including 0-5 in 2002 and 1-4 in 2005. Everybody must admit that those 2 seasons were really bad. Under "normal" seasons since 1999, the Vols are 16-13 versus ranked opponents.

And, if Florida plays defense like they did against Troy, the Vols will score 50 points on the Gators "D".
