We need to relentlessly post on twitter/emails and get the local media involved in promoting the candidates we want. Push for the local media to spread the message.

Lane Kiffin and Tee Martin would both take the job and the AD is not even considering them at the moment. Our voices must be propagated through social media, and relayed by the local media if we want Martin or Kiffin. The local media is our channel to get the national media's attention.

Relentless persistence is required to prevent 4-5 more years of mediocrity and an extension of the Dooley/Jones era.

EDIT: I shouldn't have limited this to Martin/Kiffin. Any candidate that you support this applies for. Sumlin, Strong, etc.

I was all for rallying against Schiano. But now it's getting ridiculous.

If we’re going to make a public spectacle of ourselves again, it needs to be aimed at the Haslams and nowhere else.

FBI might handle it for us though.

I'm not saying we should protest the AD, just make our voices heard on what candidates we do want. Nothing wrong with making a statement on who we want.

I honestly can't understand why everyone is so enamored with hiring Tee Martin as our head coach. Please tell me what makes him qualified.

Not about who exactly. More about everyone getting the names out there that they support.

Confused. You did just post something you twittered about.

Im not against twitter or social media or the internet or technology or something like that. Just the spoiled attitude and demand for instant gratification. Not to mention the call to arms at the slightest hint of something you dont approve of as if someone just bombed pearl harbor

Yeah I understand your post. It's just that his name keeps getting brought up in multiple threads and I don't get it. They complain about people not having experience, and he has less experience than almost every other name mentioned.

You can't do anything about it. They are going to hire a loser. It's inevitable at this point.

The best way forward is to just forget about the program for a few years. Cancel your tickets, save your money. Put it away for the day not too far away when Currie, and whoever the latest loser head coach is, will be gone and maybe, in spite of our boosters, we'll luck into a decent hire (stranger things have happened).

Instant gratification? Lmao we’ve been patient enough the last decade and a half. If you wanna sit around and be quiet then cool but some of us are tired of it

Instant gratification? Dude UT has been down for over a DECADE. Goodness. And the irony. You realize how much of a hypocrite you sound like? All you're doing is having a spoiled attitude, complaining and being butt hurt people act a way you may not agree with.

And another thing. There's all types of people in every generation. Lol If social media existed back then you'd see the same thing.

Currie is the issue in all of this. Most everyone knows he's not going to be around long. He should already be fired.

Hire Tee. He'll likely fail.

The fans will fix the blame on who hired him.

The fans never share the blame for anything which fails.

They just want to have an opportunity to puff out their chests. That's why Gruden was so attractive. He's famous. Everyone knows him. Didn't make any difference if he failed after a year or two. Wouldn't be important. They got to puff out their chests for a year or so. That's all that matters.

I personally want Tee because of the rallying effect it could have on the fan base with him being a VFL. I think that he could get a good supporting staff and do well.

For being a young OC with little experience, his resume is impressive:
- Brought USC from #30 in Total Offense to #10 in Total Offense
- Semi-finalist for Broyles Award (Top 15 Coordinator)
- Recruiter of the Year Award
- Offense at USC was an instrumental part in their 10-2 record as they have a #81 ranked defense.
