I just moved into my new apartment, and it is a really nice place in it's own right. That, however, wasn't the reason I moved here. Everyday I wake up and I walk outside and this is the first thing I see what I leave the apartment:

Does this not get your orange colored blood flowing? So, who what's to come over and tailgate? V,B.

Even after a couple of days I have to get up and go to the front door or window to look outside and make sure that the stadiums still there... lmao

What apartment complex is this? I'm looking to do my graduate work at UT next year, so I'll have to find a place to live. That looks like a good place to start, lol.

Its called Maplehurst Park. My backyard is the Tennessee River, my front yard is The World's Fair Park, to the left is Mr. Neyland, and to the right is the Old City and Market Square. Not Bad IMHO. lol

Thanks! I checked out the website--the place seems quite nice. I may have to look into living there if I get accepted into the graduate program at UT.

From the looks of their website, they have done a good job with the renovations. I do not remember those being that nice around 2000-2003.

Pretty sure one of the buildings got demoed recently. The view may be good, but I don't think it's the ideal area (seem to remember it didn't have the greatest neighbors)

I'll tell you what. When I first moved up here and started dating my current wife, I spent the night in her dorm at Andy Holt (NSAA). I was new to the TN gameday atmosphere. I woke up one Fall morning at about 8AM. TN was playing Florida. It may have been the national championship year. Anyway, the window was cracked and I could clearly hear the UT band warming up for the game across the street. The temp was perfect. I was in love. The band was playing. I remember thinking, "now this is awesome."

Dude, those are some old looking train tracks b/w you and stadium -- how often does that puppy role by? I lived in a similar place in Boston for a few years right to next to Fenway -- my apartment shook from the crowd noise when the Sox hit a home run or the T came through. Got to the point where I couldn't sleep without hearing that train. Nice pics.

This, many robberies and crack heads/druggies in this area, be CAREFUL.

My wife (then girlfriend) and I lived in the bottom floor of that same building. We both worked late and came back from games late and never had a problem. The partying can get a little loud, but it's not too bad. I think you'll really like the new digs.

BTW, thanks for posting, it brought back some great memories from my younger days.
