It may be time to just hire Rick Byrd and get a 4-5 year stop gap to rebuild the program's image. Cannot believe I am saying that, but UT could do worse.

Rick Byrd will still be coaching at Tennessee in 2020 and winning big games if he were hired. Every other coach that has been mentioned as a possible coach would have moved on by 2020 or fired. Hire Rick Byrd! He will win big at UT.

Rick Byrd wants to retire at Belmont. The man has a life time contract there, and it's absolutely no pressure. He could drop a steaming deuce at mid-court before every game and the Belmont fans would praise him as the next coming of John Wooden. He has it made there.

Doesn't sound like anybody knows much, if anything, about the White situation, unless I've missed something.

The next guy you offer the job to needs to be the one you hire. No need to take a shot in the dark on Byrd which can hurt you in negotiations with the next guy if he turns you down because he isn't interested in the big stage.

Not a Vol basketball fan, but they should consider Tommy Amaker. He has done good and actually made HARVARD a sleeper team the last 3 years. Enough said

Did White actually get offered the job? All I hear are reports and like the last coach hire heard the same thing but then to find out UT never talked to some of the guys that was posted as our next coach. Did White give a statement if I have missed it sorry but I just like to hear it from their mouths before I even believed they where offered. Flash Backs of a couple of years ago going on in my head. Waiting and watching for the next Men's BB Coach who will it be?
