Since the season is shot anyhow, we might as well live in la la make believe land.

There seems to be a consensus that QB is the weak link on the team. My question is if I were to give this team a sophomore or Junior level Josh Dobbs, what is our record this year?

I'll hang up and listen.

He!!, if you’re going down that rabbit trail, let’s just bring back Peyton.

WTH does it matter? Neither of them have any eligibility.

What if we had Nick Saban as head coach? What would our record be then?

It matters as a point of discussion on what the actual potential of the team is. If you don't want to name Dobbs as the example then pick some other normal to average John Doe QB that usually makes decent decisions but isn't spectacular and tell me how good you think we are. Then do the same if we had a rock star out there.

Like I said it's all hypothetical, but from what I've seen this year, if we had a QB that could hit the right route normally, or record should be much better. Hence the question.

I'd rather have the senior Dobbs and his 40 TDs

Can we pick a RB?

I say the record isn’t the problem. Tennessee has had many bad records over the past 11 years.

It’s who Tennessee has lost to. It’s how Tennessee has lost. It’s how the team looked (unmotivated and unprepared), it’s how we don’t see simple 1 year improvement.

We would be 3-1 with Dobbs or equivalent QB; however, we would also be 3-1 with JG if our defense wasn't shredded wheat against GA State and blew coverage at the end of the BYU game.

QB is not the only position where talent and depth are needed. However, seems to be the most critical one at this time.
