And I think this person would do a great job. Pat Head Summit, she brings integrity and people have the utmost respect for her. And I think she would be good for all aspects of UT, and she loves her football also. It's a thought that I have had for a few days, opinions welcomed! GO VOLS!

She would not raise money for UT. Incredibly wealthy old men are not the same demographic as a lillith fair concert tour.

I think she would do an amazing job. You couldn't find someone who would beat her work ethic.

Fans do not and should not choose an Athletic Director.
There are a select few fans that seem to have an inordinate influence on the process.

Hopefully it will dawn on them that coaches should stick to coaching and administrators should administrate.

Talk about being blindsided. Don't know how that would work, but anything has to be better than the idea of fulmer becoming ad.

I've threw this name out there before but why not give Condredge Holloway a shot? He has been apart of the program for years and he is a Tennessee man he's all vol

I am just shocked....

Do you guys have any idea what is required to run an athletic department? It is not about having "guts".

Let's make Bruce Pearl an architecture professor, his house sure is purty...

When you are trying to run a top 10 AD that has tax disadvantages compared to your competitors, you need a graduate degree and a proven track record in development...

Your goals are:
1. Raise lots of money
2. Raise lots of money
3. Raise lots of money
4. Do not get in trouble with the NCAA
5. Win football games
6. Win basketball games
7. Everything else...

We have increased our graduation rates and academic honor roll for athletes under Mike Hamilton. No one seems to care about that.

Um, I might be crazy(I am, I really am) but what about Heath Shuler? He's politically sound(somewhat), connected to the program, and a good leader. I think he could play the game, but as I said before,

You can't possibly be.

Not at wanting Mike fired. I have actually put together the coalition of
1. Fulmer butthurt fans
2. Kiffin mattress burners

and that really sums up the group needed. Big Jim went from "go ahead and fire Phil, but you better hit a home run on this hire" to now getting angry that the fat man who ran our program into the ground was not replaced by someone who immediately was able to give us depth and help us beat teams who had been out recruiting us for 5 years...the man knows how to sell lots of alcohol and cigarettes at truck stops, but he does not seem to understand how football programs work very well.

I am shocked that someone who is not joking would think that Pat Head would be able to do the job of UTAD. It is not entirely her fault, although her affair rankled lots of the deep pockets in Knoxville in a different way than Bruce's...

That is not crazy at all.

His real estate business fell apart, but so did a lot of people who got overextended.

That is not a bad idea at all.

Bill Frist for University President and Heath as AD would be a very very strong group of leaders, and the best fundraising duo in that position in my lifetime.
