If UT wins the SEC Tourney...

Should Martin be safe from being fired if UT wins the SEC Tourney?

True. My biggest issue here is that we currently have a $50 bill in our pocket and a machine in front of us that says "deposit $50 and we'll give you $100 in return" and people are saying "nah, I'm good with my $50."

for anyone who doesn't get it, it's a metaphor for CM and BP

Thanks for clearing that up

Different circumstance though. Felton's record was in Wade Houston territory.

Speaking of Wade. I think he's the only other coach to make it to Sunday in the SECT besides Bruce. Right? (Apart from the 79 championship team)

That's impossible to believe but I think you're right. It's insane how evil the SECT has been to us.

It's also the marketing strategy that makes homeless people play the lottery and shut ins buy crappy life insurance.

It has been bad enough to officially declare it a curse, IMO.

I would have to look it up to be sure, but I bet we haven't even made it to Saturday more than a few times.

not really. buying a lotto ticket is pure chance. we already have three sweet 16s, an elite 8, and 6 tourney appearances that show us what we're getting. This is more like buying the same brand of food when going to the super market after you realized the off brand wasn't as good

$50 - - -> CM

$100 - - -> BP

hope this helps :)

:good!: Bruce would definitely fill the seats for every game because I'm sure he would put an exciting team on the floor that knows how to win some big games. History can teach us a lot about that. He did lie but nowhere near as bad as the a##holes in DC.

This is like putting spoiled milk back in the refrigerator and then pouring it on cereal a week later because it once tasted great.

I can do tortured metaphors all night. :)

kind of a nonsensical metaphor. is there a reason you think Bruce would be worse at coaching now?

I mean, by this logic, why ever look at someone's past coaching record when we hire them? we don't know if they can reproduce! hiring a coach is like playing the lotto! Dooley was as solid of an option as hiring nick saban, right? we can never know

If only it were as simple as coaching records . . .

I voted yes. He will have won a tremendous amount of respect from me for winning our first ever SEC tournament after the completely dormant play we saw a lot of this season.
