My little business started 12 years ago, Yes in my Garage, putting catalyst in pails and paint cans to sell to University labs. Although it's a small part of the overall picture nowadays we still like it a lot and have supplied product to nearly 200 institutions of higher learning about 90% stateside but a few in Europe and elsewhere too. And up till now never had any request from West Virginia University... until a graduate student sent in an SOS today. Good chance we'll get a small order there, but quite frankly I'd prefer to win a few football games.

Ok... to those who don't get the drift of my post I'm not sure I can explain it any better. Sometimes things happen that make you think wtf? is the Big Dude Who Runs the Universe screwing with me or do I need to go see a shrink? Or is it a case you don't think this is threadworthy? But within days after getting our azz beat by WVU there is a graduate student from WVU wanting to buy catalyst from me?

Uh, If it makes you money, sell to them! I wouldn't call that Karma, I'd call it a Blessing!
That is certainly one way to look at it. Fortunately we've had business with all the SEC schools, but not ETSU and not UTEP... but those are going in the Vols' Win column without a doubt.

You could always look at it the other way. UT lost but now they're having to pay you.

Or even better, tell them 'too bad' and then throw the ones you could have given them into the trash.

There's always a silver lining.

Somebody is going to take their money, might as well be me.
