And get a #2 seed(I suspect it would be the highest or 2nd highest #2) then whose region do you want of the #1 seeds? Guess it would likely be Duke or Houston to avoid a potential Elite 8 All-SEC matchup.

I do not want Duke. I never want Duke. I don't trust any game against them. I know Tennessee won by manhandling them two years back (when they were a 5 seed), but I have seen too much "Duke magic" -- and I think everyone knows what I mean by "Duke magic" -- over the years to ever want to see them in a bracket. No thanks.

If that's who Tennessee (the staff) would want, well then by all means, but I'm never going to feel good about it with them. Especially when they have a "superstar" who'll get superstar treatment from officials.

Yep. If duke beats Louisville. They'll be the overall number one. Ig we are in their bracket we are screwed. Being in Houston's bracket would be better since we'll play a lower 3 seed. But who knows how they will group the top 16.

Lunardi said yesterday we are a 2 seed no matter what, if even we win the SECT. Jerry Palm thinks we will move to 1 seed with a win tomorrow. Who knows. Personally I don't think they will move us up.

Lunardi said that? Do you have a link? Maybe he did, but it seems curious given that he said on Wednesday the final 1 Seed would likely go to the team between TN, AL and FL, who goes the furthest in the SEC Tournament. It would be a reversal of what he said previously, so I would just like to see where & when he said It.

Well let’s hope he’s wrong. He’s also saying NC is the last team in with, wait for it, one Quad 1 win. One. Sometimes I think he escaped from a mental ward and managed to bullshi* his way into a job at ESPN. Also that article was published before the outcome of today’s games. His guess was probably premised on thinking we’d lose to Auburn.

With Bama getting blown out by 22, Michigan State losing to Wisconsin we should be the top 2 seed even if we lose tomorrow I'd think.

Going 2-1 with a win over Auburn and playing in the championship game should be better than going 1-1 and not making title game like Bama & State.

Tend to agree. You know why that’s so frustrating. After we beat Bama, we were a #1 seed. Clearly.

We then lose on the road in the final seconds to a good Ole Miss team. We recover by beating Auburn and Florida (hypothetically) to win our conference tournament. But that’s not enough to erase a final seconds loss on the road to Ole Miss?? That’s crazy to me.

Just don't want in the bracket with St. John's or Michigan State due to Pitino and Izzo success in March.

With that said, this team can beat anyone on any given day.

If you are looking to do that, then you actually want to be a 2 seed because I don't think either of them will be a 3 seed.

So, who would you rather see.....Duke or Houston as a 1.....or St. John's or Michigan State as a 2.

Based on their records, St John’s would appear to be the weakest

That means that whoever is picking who deserves number 1 versus number 2 is doing a pretty excellent job

Our #2 seed would be in the Midwest since that’s the closest after the South, which we can’t be in due to Auburn already being there as the 1-seed.

We had a 1 seed and all we had to do was to win out to keep it. I sort of feel the same way about this basketball team as I did about the football team. Not really sure how good they are? Seedings may not really matter if they keep playing slip up games.
