the last two games, we can forget a top tier coach. They'll not want to come somewhere where they have to completely rebuild.

Expect a tier 2, up-and-comer gamble at coach.

And what do you have that supports this view?

Typically coaching changes do not happen because the team and players are good.

There are some positive signs now guys, come on.

Colquitt is showing that he can punt at twice the rate as last season. He may get as many punts this year as he had last year after missing half the games.

I get where you are coming from, but I don't think 3 games are going to make up the mind of a coach. If anything a coach that is a strong competitor would want to come here. What a great opportunity to use TN as a launching board for an illustrious career. No matter how bad we look right now, we still have some key players on the roster that can be developed under a great coach. Mix in the great facilities, long tradition, big-time recruiting budget, etc. and I would think a top coaching candidate would love to come here.

I saw this opinion posted on another board and it's as bogus here as it was there. If a coach is worried about what he's inheriting at UT then he's not cut out to be here.

The money we have will pretty much capture anyone out there to come here. You probably wanted Buzz to stay too

Seems like the players aren't behind Fulmer as much a they claim, or they wouldn't quit like they did.

Doesnt seem like the players aren't behind Fulmer as much a they claim, or they wouldn't quit like they did.

That implies they started.

You must be looking over the whole season and not just today's game.

Naaa, The new coach could come in and start cleaning house of players who do not give 100% effort...Saban told several their services were no longer required when He took over.

I think they quit because in their minds they were doing in support of Phil. I know, it's stupid but I think it was sort of their way of giving the university and fans the ol' middle finger for running their pal off.

I never thought about it but it makes sense. I would not want to coach a bunch of players that have showed the ability to quit!

This 2008 team has lost it's pride. They are just going through the motions really; or their wouldn't be all this talk of them quitting on the season. That said, A new coach who can inspire them, give them so serious discipline, and get them to THINK differently will instill a new attitude in them and then, I think, we can be successful at winning and recruiting.
