Saturday forecast for Athens showing rain likely, with a potential for 1/2” or so. If that is the case, it will be a real old-school type game in the trenches. Hell, it probably would be anyway. Ball security will be at a premium.

Would be nice to force a couple fumbles. Will be interesting to see the effect on the passing game as well.

Rain is an equalizer on the road! Trench game and I like our chances in that environment!

I thought rain would favor the team that could throw better.

Easier for WR's because they know where they are going, as opposed to DB's that have to make quicker, more exaggerated cuts to stay with the WR.

Hope it's a downpour. Would favor UT. Our strength is the run game anyways and it help take UGAs best offensive player outta the game being a WR.

If it rains I hope they put JG under center, that shotgun snap in heavy rain is a scary thought.

It looks like this weekend might be a tropical storm washout in the SE. How does this affect our chances in Athens? I like our OL grading lanes for the RBs. My biggest concern was our secondary vs their relievers, but that might be less important in a gully-washer.

Storm has maintained a more westerly track. Might get some passing rains.

The Bama/Ole Miss game is most at risk. Probably won’t play that in the middle of a tropical storm. Baton Rouge will get rain in the morning. Some high wind gusts, but should mostly be cleared out by game time
