If Tenn wins SEC & Coach Fulmer doesn't retire.

there is not a downside to winning the SEC this year. I repeat, there is NOT a downside to winning the SEC this year.:mega_shok:
I did word that really poorly.
I'm certainly hoping UT wins this year, but lets hope winning doesn't mean Fulmer has 9 more years to win. I don't he will be allowed that much time, but who knows.

so if he's winning the SEC he should still be gone? Tough crowd

Did I say he had to be gone after this year? Didn't think so.

If he wins, he deserves credit
If he wins, he certainly deserves more time.
If he wins, he doesn't deserve tenure.

He'll get 4 more years if he wins the SECCG barring another disastrous season like 05.

i said late last week, that many of us had given up on the team. Apathy had set in deep after the bama game. the SC game didn't exactly lessen the burden.

i said that i needed a reason to be excited again.

well i got that this past Saturday. maybe i'm setting myself up for a fall with two to go......both teams we face still present a challenge to our d when taking the whole season in to account.

but i so much prefer my attitude today than i had a week ago. we're playing for something again. that's all i can ask for at this point. can't change 59-20 or 41-17 or 45-31. i saw it, know how it happened, have my reservations on how they each happened and who's responsible.

i also know though that beating GA, SC and ARK as well has played us in to the position we are in now.

so, here's to the rest of the season and keeping me excited for at least another week. Go Vols.

That is about the same for me. I still would like CPF to take a graceful ride into the sunset while he can do it in an upbeat, "this is my choice" way.

I dont think he will retire.. I think he probably should but I dont think he will...at least not at the end of this year.

Why in the world would any school who wins a conference championship(in the toughest conference in the country also) want to fire their coach? Thats just freakin' stupid to even think.

Now lose the next two games and then you may have a point, but to win an SEC title and than still think it, its ridiculous.

well.. I think at this point most people are saying they would like to see him retire should he win. This way he goes out on top as a winning coach. I dont think anyone is suggesting he win and get fired or forced out..
