If Smith returns, does he play guard or tackle?

According to his 247 page he's 281. So unless you have something that proves otherwise

His 247 page? I'm sorry, when did they weigh him?

Here's an article from uh,....247, last August and Tatum was up to 288. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Tatum will start at tackle and have a great year.

We are going to get our best 5 on the field. Smith is both our best T and best G, so it will depend on whether the Juco, a Freshman or Hall can take a starting spot somewhere else. I’d just be happy to have 5 SEC level linemen after the way we ended last year.

Saw the comment about Tatum’s weight, and the official UT roster didn’t list weights. And players were instructed not to tell anyone. So it’s just a guess at this point.

I could see him at LG with Tatum at RT

but could also see him at RT with newcomer Jahmir Johnson, Ryan Johnson, or Locklear at LG.

I personally like Smith at guard. When he was playing guard we were able to run the ball up the middle with not so many issues. Then we moved him to tackle and we started having issues running up the middle. Guess we will see, but that's what I would do.

Unfortunately by the time he moved to Tackle we were down 3-4 OL starters and even had 3-4 deep true Freshmen in there playing.

I think for one of the last 2 games, we were down to one spare OL, and then we were going to start grabbing TEs and DL.
