Yeah but I bet it's not on Charlie's short list,I'd say the one he wants and will flourish at is a little farther south,If you think it's hard to win at Tennessee,Charlie Strong knows as well as anyone Souf Cackalacky is a death wish for a rookie coach but a gem for "old codgers"
I've never thought it was hard to win at TN. Fulmer proved that by winning 8-9 games a year by being on autopilot.

They have been looking for someone who could do it consistently for years and haven't found them yet (When I lived and worked there in the 80's that is all any Gamecock fan I worked with cared about)

Which is why I don't see them throwing their hands up in desperation anytime soon to give Fulmer a shot. I swear, if they were dumb enough to do that, Five Points would be burnt to the ground...

Entire post pointless, he said championships, not NCs. He wants to go to Conf USA or something comparable. He wants a small town big time college feel, he wants to be beloved and he should or could be that for a small school in the MAC. He could win NC at that level with Saban's, KIFFIN's, Urban's rejects.
He could be carried off the field with his second NC, and feel like he "coach'd em up" !!! Then retire with 2 Titles and UT as his real reasonable shot at the HOF !

I seriously doubt Fulmer would have any success at a mid major or at the Div. 1A level... It's a moot point, because he wouldn't accept those kind of jobs anyways. He's gonna be waiting the next 2-3 years for that phone call from the Georgias, Clemsons and Michigan States of the world, but they ain't gonna come calling. By then, he will have a firm grip on reality... or not. Depending on how this project goes with Kiffin, he may start positioning himself for a return from Alba/exile.

LSU,after Chavis gets there defense back on track and there is no improvement on offense, Miles will get fired, who else would they hire ? coach Fulmer is a proven winner in the SEC and Chavis will push for him to be the HC,that is if he doesn't want to be the new HC,which i don't think will happen,in two years there will be a new coach at LSU,it will be CPF,but thats just my opinion :)
