If Peyton becomes a Titan do you think that this will help out with recruting in Nashville and possibly west Tennessee? I say possibly West Tn because the Titans are TN's only team. I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it..

I've never really been a titan fan but I would like to see him back in Tennessee some what. I just want him to go where he has a chance to be the best field general in the league again and or coarse where he can go and get another ring or two. Where ever he goes ill be pulling for them

If Eddie George comes out of retirement, will Urban Meyer out recruit us in Nashville?

I only opened this thread because I was hoping it would say:

"Will we win one before Bud dies?"

Manning will NOT be a Titan. Bud will NOT spend the money on him. Bud is cheap!!!!
This is a ploy by Bud to appease the U.T. fans in the area. If they have issues next season with the q.b., then fans will say "See you should have gotten Manning and then we would not have these issues"
He is not serious about getting Manning. It is all show and tell!!!!!
Manning ends up in Arizona, IF Arizona has salary cap room. If not, then he ends up in Denver!!!!!!!

If we are winning and Peyton is winning for the Titans then yes it helps but if we are losing and the Titans are losing... well I don't think it will effect much. He could help bring ol' Mo back for us in Tenn. I think he helps some but not as much as you might hope.

All of this is just a big "if"

Eli Manning's winning two Super Bowl's has done wonders for Mississippi's recruiting classes. (Sarcasim)

Are you thinking we will now lock down the State of Tennessee as far as recruits. (More Sarcasim)

If we need Peyton playing in Nashville to lock down TN recruits, then we are in much more dire straights than we ever imagined.

Eli isn't right next to Ol' Miss. He is talking about Peyton being in Tennessee and winning in Tennessee. Will that help with the Vols recruiting in the state.

.... I think :hi:

I'm not sure but I don't think he asked if we needed his help. I think he simply asked if it would help.

The association helps establish the association of Peyton to UT football (CLK had that part about UT correct). But, his proximity to Knoxville also increases the probability that Peyton spends more time at UT events. That contact helps recruit athletes.

Moreover, he'll make Tennessee a relevant word in football championship discussions again, albeit at the professional level.
