If only she had a clue!

I will say again, one of the biggest detriments to the LV team this year was the naming of DD to the potential "player of the year" or whatever that was. I think it was going to be a tough year anyway, but that surely hurt. The girl had not played in over a year! That was a slap in the face to many, many other WBB players ALL OVER THE COUNTY!

I think Holly needs to bring new players along more slowly. That is, don't throw them in right away, no matter how good their reputations are. Bring them into games a bit at a time. Let them prove themselves to get more floor time. It may be she is afraid they will decide to transfer. So be it. If you run the team a certain way because you are afraid someone will transfer, you have already lost control. Emphasize to them that they are playing at a different level with well-qualified teammates.

Continue pulling out players who are out of control (i.e., take stupid shots, make bad passes, miss catching passes, make stupid fouls, act as though the game is an individual one instead of a team one) and teach them what they are doing wrong (perhaps an asst coach can speak to them) If a player resists the teaching, bench her.

Emphasize strong play on the post. Teach, if necessary, the posts to demand the ball, to go to the hoop, not to be afraid of assertive play. Expect the posts to catch the ball and take it to the hoop.

Expect everyone to be moving! No more of this standing and watching on offense.

Expect everyone to be going after the ball. No more watching it go by, waiting for someone else to sacrifice themselves.

This team badly needs to be molded into one organism. It won't happen if these problems continue unaddressed. Not addressing problems from the first is how you get into messes like this, IMHO
