I would not take that approach. We have a few backs, plus what we already have on the depth chart. We might be surprised what Lane can do with a proper Line Coach, and what they will do under the new RB coach.

I think our needs are bigger than a RB at the moment, epically with the coach's that have taken other positions. We need to first secure the commitments we have currently, and then look for opportunity.

As far as not getting a 5* back is concerned, I feel that a true RB coach, which we now have, will one; help our current backs, and recruit better quality backs - while sustaining some quality to our quantity.

JMO tho....

Bourque, Davis and Pender are all in play until NSD. They will get one of them IMO. Which is all they need since they already have a pounder and a scatback coming in.

if we haven't gotten him by now we're not goin too. you spends a week negotiating with one coach this close to signing. if he was interested and we offered, he'd be here recruiting already. remember CDD and even that turd Kiffin came in here and went to work before their contracts were finalized.
i sure hope i have to eat crow on this one cuz CRS is a big get.

With Lane and Tom Smith already there, and Neal if he is a RB this year or not. Plus bringing Alden Hill to be the bruiser back, and Watson to be a speed back. This class doesn't HAVE to have one of the three we are in the hunt for. We will more than likely get Bourque, and maybe even Pender or Davis. Pig can also run out of the backfield even though I like him in the slot more.

No big RB then class is a fail. It requires a really good back to win big in this league.

He needs three coaches. He is not going to announce each coach one by one. He will announce them all at once.

Not gonna lie, Arnett was a big contributor, but I wouldn't see Arnett being in the top 3 WR's long with Bowles, Croom, and Pig coming. Would have been just more depth with Arnett, but not as big of a loss now.

i dunno about that, as soon as someone is hired it won't be a secret around here. plus CDD would want to make every single hire public ASAP to sell recruits that we are filling positions.

you did not know that 75 % of vol nation is just on here to pass time and want dooley fired ? sure, he is going to be a good back, when 100 % healthy !!!!
