We will have a difficult time holding onto Bailey and Salter. And we will have difficulty recruiting a QB in general.

If this is JGs ceiling, it calls into question our coaching. And it means once you win the job, the coaches won’t consider a change.

Pruitt needs to tell JG there isn’t room for him next year

If JG tries to return next year, he needs to be told something like, "Look, you've got your degree, you've had 5 years, man, we've got to move on. I'll do all I can to help you find a landing spot that suits you in your final year of eligibility."

I agree OP, if he stays, we will lose probably 2 of the QB's on the team currently, and won't be able to recruit QB's coming in.
He's tough as nails. He's all Vol. I appreciate that. But he's got to go.

Did you hear JG after the game? He said it was “one of his last chances to beat Georgia.” In other words, he intends to come back.

If xxx xxx xxx xxx then he needs to be handed a clipboard for the season. His time on The Hill is past due from being over, no more JG. Prep the youth at QB the rest of this season for next year.

Doesn't mean he will be welcomed or allowed back.
The NCAA has created a huge dilemma for coaches by allowing this year to not count against anyone's eligibility, but not raising the scholorship limit beyond (what is it?) 85.
Gonna be lot's of disappointed players looking for places to transfer all over the country come next season.

He'll be told thx but no thx. See the problem with that cute lil fake ruling is that those athletes will still count towards you 85. The athletes allowed to do that have to be an asset and really a difference maker because that will also count towards you number you can bring in.

What if we don't renew his scholarship and don't extend walk on position?? That is not being unkind, the school has paid for him the be here long enough.
