Regardless of whether or not he killed Goldman and Brown-Simpson, OJ is an absolute idiot for this book and the interview.
[FONT=Verdana,Sans-serif] LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fox plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted, the network said.
The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.
Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, Fox said.
"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."
The interview will air days before Simpson's new book, "If I Did It," goes on sale Nov. 30. The book, published by Regan, "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed."

Why is he an idiot? He can't be tried twice for the same crime, the civil suit is settled....and the book is a moneymaker...:dunno:

You seriously can't be arguing the fact that Simpson is not an idiot. He is doing a "what if" on murders for which he was acquitted. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Money or no money.

Im not defending Simpson...personally I feel he did it, or contracted it done. And thru many failures in the system, got off the hook. But I guess Im just saying the way you said it, how can he be an idiot....sound like he's thought out pretty well how to cash in on getting away with murder, which is pretty smart.

IMO this is a direct result of the Goldman family's lawsuit against OJ to try and get control of of OJ's persona for purposes of profits from licensing.

He is as sorry of a person as you will find. There was no need to do something like this other than for money.

I'm not sure he even did it for money. If he gives away whatever is in the book then it may actually cost him some book sales. IMO only he probably is doing/did it for a much more diabolical reason, that being to mentally torture the Goldmans as "retribution" for their continued efforts to execute the wrongful death judgment.

All I have to say is... what took him so long to do this? He was acquitted forever ago, and the civil suit ended quite a long time ago as well.

I for one will not aide him in his profits, I have no desire to read what the murdering scumbag has to say.

That seems to be the basis for every Republican thought process....:shaking2:

You missed his point. Reread what he was responsing to and you'll see his still calling OJ an idiot irrespective if he makes money off of it or not.

I don't know a whole lot about Florida and it's perculiar laws regarding property that is exempt from execution, other than the extremely generous homestead exemption. Maybe Hat or someone can tell us whether OJ will even make any money off this book. It would seem to me that such profits/royalties would be the type of income that the Goldman and Brown families could go after???

If I have to lable OJ Simpson it's not an idiot...ego-manical murderer maybe but idiot isn't what comes to mind here. I'm not going to buy his book, and I don't mean to sound like I'm taking his side. I just say with everything on the table, this endeavor of his while immoral and shockingly tactless...will probably make him a lotta money.

Your right. He may be a lot of things, but an idiot would not be one of them. He has murdered two people, gotten off, walking the streets as free as me or you, and is about to make a boat load of money. Doesn't sound like an idiot to me.

He won't make any money. He is entitled to nothing until he pays off the $33M he owes the families of the victims.
Galanter said he would have advised Simpson against doing this book and TV deal - and even encouraged the Goldman and Brown families to go after the money O.J. might make.
"Absolutely . . . they can go after Fox and find out what the financial arrangement was between Fox and Regan Books," Galanter told Court TV. "And I think they could go after HarperCollins [the publisher for which Regan Books is an imprint] and Regan and find out what the deal was with Simpson and the people behind the book."

Oh, btw, Galanter is O.J. Simpson's lawyer...

I thought that too, but there are apparently ways around it. It seems that by setting up another legal entity like a living trust, the Goldman family can't touch the money, but Big Head (he has the largest human head I've ever seen) can. I think he'll get whacked before it's over.

There are multiple ways he can actually get money from this book. He can create corporations and offshore accounts to funnel money through. He has nothing legal to worry about and his reputation is already rock bottom so being called an idiot and a fool doesn't bother him.

By doing this, he can only benefit. You cannot go further than rock bottom.

He's pushing his luck now.
