If Hooker had started

i don't know. Any QB who could hit our open receivers in the first quarter would have had a strong chance of winning. I don't know if Hooker can hit those. Milton cannot at this point. I had high hopes when he dropped that first one in to HYatt though.

Milton missed almost every throw over 10 years down field Hooker started to hit them and it showed. The INT's are going to happen, that one was really bad timing though.

Milton would really have to show improvement to come back and start imo.

I feel bad for Milton - physically gifted arm like I haven’t seen in a long time. Wonder if he can throw a baseball for a strike from 60.6 feet? I bet he could hit triple digits. Just can’t seem to place the ball where it needs to be on the deep routes. Again, kudos to him for being a good teammate and cheering Hooker on knowing he was probably losing his position permanently. Stand up guy.

he could probably throw a 100mph fast ball but it wouldn't be over home plate

Hooker threw a high school level pass that resulted in an interception with the game on the line. He is just as much of a liability as Milton. He was overthrowing guys too. Lol! I don't know why there are so many Hooker fanboys now. He did not play well either. I think Bailey gives us the best chance to win. He didn't look great last year, but he was okay. Okay QB play would have won us the game today. And for the "the coaches know best" crowd, haven't you learned that coaches - especially UT coaches - often make the wrong decisions when it comes to who plays? Don't forget that cornbread rode Guarantano right off a cliff and Butch had Dobbs riding the bench until injuries made him give Dobbs a chance and he came in and lit it up. Seriously, we have seen this movie a few times already. This program has to be cursed.

Hooker averaged 9 YPA, led 24 points coming off the bench in three quarters against a well respected defensive coach and also got multiple first downs with his feet. Yes the pick was bad. He stared him down. The safety made a nice play and Hooker might have had him if he thrown it higher anyways. He wasn’t Cam Newton but he played well considering the circumstances.
