Some negative nancys need to move on. Hot seat and firing recommendation. I guess Knowles goes with him as well and players leave as well. Some of you must like rebuilds.
So tired of this and yes CJH has his flaws but some of you must like living at ground zero. FB stuck it out but GM is different and with the OL banged up he maybe better for the program.
Who would the Negative Nancy replace him with? Much less this started in the first half....what a troll job?

Right now, it is GM. He does have a year on FB and he showed great leadership and discipline. FB looked like a Deer in the Headlight Today. Last week may have caused some trauma that bleed over to this game. He will get over it as he is a winner....Big Adjustment for him. Auburn would have won this game had he stayed in. Right move for Coach to make.

Fortunately, Danny White knows that these negavols are what they are and don’t contribute to the program. Their influence extends no farther than the game thread which mercifully disappears taking their horrible and hysterical takes with it.

Whaaaaaaaat?

Robinson tore a knee at Alabama. He had been on the cover of SI earlier in the year after torching Auburn. It's not remotely the same thing. Brandon's not playing because of his poor performance. GMac is also better than Dickey

In the last century, how many championships have we REALLY competed for? U-T is a good program but not on the same level as Georgia, 'Bama, LSU, Ohio State, et al. JH has brought the program back to respectability. I can't see it going any higher, with all of the Conference realignments. I believe 8-4 will be the Norm, in the future, no matter who is coaching. A 9-3 MAY get us in the playoffs. A 10-2 gets us a Bye and deep into the playoff picture. I keep my fingers crossed but, I occasionally like to make a wager or two. I usually stay away from the Vols because I want to use my head, not my heart.

I know it is not, he was also a Senior as was DD. I think we expected as a fanbase too much from FB, a freshman. DD was a ghost for all time there, but he was much better than many thought. Mac came into this game with a similar demeanor as DD Calm and Cool and ran the offense very efficiently. Experience of 1 year is the difference.... Even though the first pass DD threw as UT QB was an interception he did not throw one again in the Season. He was seeing the field much better and his Arm has pep. That's all. People on this board have not given him enough credit.

I think CJH is a very good HC, and I certainly don’t think he should be on the hot seat, although I do understand the frustration.

Seriously though, I’m not big on moral victories, but the Vols just barely lost to the #1 team in the country by 3 points, and with a TF at QB! That’s not nothing?

Yes, it’s been six seasons and CJH hasn’t won a NC, but I don’t think that should in itself be a reason to kick him to the curb. Things are better now in Knoxville than they were before CJH came to town.

I’m certainly not saying that TN shouldn’t be always entertaining the possibility of getting better and upgrading if the right opportunity arises, but I honestly don’t think replacing CJH is something that should be easily done. You guys have seen some very rough years dealing with subpar coaching, so unless there is a very promising and exciting upgrade, I’d be very wary of showing Josh the door. He is a good coach, and he just might put things together at some point and make a deep playoff run.

If the program is leaning in a way that is looking to make a change, and I don’t think it is, I’d try to lure Buster Faulkner away from UF. That guy is an offensive genius and will be successful wherever he goes. He has also learned to be a prominent recruiter and in the right situation, he will be a force in college football in the future.

Seriously though, I think the Vols should trust CJH for now and do the best they can to give him what he needs to succeed. The guy is a damn good coach!

On a side note: I gotta give you guys some props on the SMOKEY GREYS today!!! They looked pretty cool! 👍

Quit worrying about that as we may be building towards it..Yea, we have had bumps but it a matter of taking it one day, one game at a time. Are we going to be NC, chances are we are not. Are we going to make it to the playoffs don't know yet. It is not predictable at this point and points and records are speculative. LSU above us the last 4 years? No. Georgia and Ohio State are two you listed that are a slight cut above us.
