Who has the nerve to think Sports radio is littered with a bunch of incompetent retards who get paid to evoke reactions from stupid people? Let's find the guys that don't believe about 98% of sports radio blather, strap 'em to a rocket and shoot them at the people threatening to play golf.

Sound like a plan?

Some of you would like to see Jon Gruden as the new coach. Jon won the Super Bowl with the team Tony Dungy put in place. His record since 2002.
2003 7-9
2004 5-11
2005 11-5
2006 4-12
2007 9-7
2008 6-3
During this time his total record is 42 wins and 47 losses.
Can someone help me understand why we would want a coach with this record?

Maybe because he is
91-78 in 11 years as a head coach
Took one team to the Super Bowl (Raiders)
WON the Super Bowl with another team (TB)
1 Conference Championship
5 Division Championships
45 years old
4 years in collage Football

Uh, no. He did not take the Raiders to the Superbowl though he SHOULD have citing the ridiculous "tuck rule" incident in New England. He took Tony Dungy's Tampa Bay team to the Superbowl and beat HIS Oakland Raider team coached by Bill Callahan.

When did he leave the Raiders?

Gruden will not level the pro's people. Haven't you watched any sports shows they said he is getting ready to sign a 5 year extension and why would someone take a paycut to come deal with the most insane and absent minded fans!
hey ut said that they will put up the money to hire another nick saban so like i say money talks and besides his wife got family in tennessee this would be a perfect reason to take the job he will do so that his wife can be close to her family...

Does that mean that Callahan took Gruden's Raider's team to the Super Bowl?

Here's a message from that Bucs site that really pisses me off. This is the biggest crock of BS and as delusional and misinformed as any Bama post I've seen in a decade:

Just look at what he has in Tampa vs. what he'd get with the Vols:

In Tampa Gruden Has:
1. A developing team that should be good for years to come...
2. Veterans that "handle" things for him...
3. A division in which his team is a contender EVERY YEAR...
4. Ownership that has shown loyalty to him when few would have...
5. A coaching staff with AT LEAST one future hall of famer... [Monte]

In Tennessee Gruden Would Have:
1. A team in turmoil, fresh off of one of the worst years in recent memory...
2. 18-22 year olds that can't police themselves, much less their teammates...
3. A conference in which he can only hope to be the 3rd best - even that's not likely...
4. A school that is so hungry to get better that the ADs finger will be on the trigger from day 1...
5. A coaching staff that he doesn't know, comprised mostly of guys that couldn't get the job at LSU or Florida...or Alabama, or Texas, or Ohio State, or...you get the picture...

Why would he leave?

Because of stupid fans like you. Now let me correct you.

In Tampa:
1) A developing team: Yeah F'N right. A 40 year old QB, no legitimate backup or QB for the future. Warrick Dunn is old and Ernest Graham will never be a feature back. Don't got any WRs. In fact, TB's roster is so old and lame, I'm having a hard time naming them. TB is running out of gas. The development hasn't even started yet.

2)Veteran's that handle things for him: What the hell does this mean. So you are young and developing but have veterans as well. Again, I am lost but doesn't sound like a selling point. Most veteran's have no heart and Gruden can take up for himself, thanks.

3) A division that is up in the air every year. Just wait til ATL reemerges and TB starts drawing social security. Plus, add in the NFC east, a wildcard isn't even guranteed.

4) Malcolm Glazer is a rich prick who plays his sports teams like I play Madden 09 on XBox. Dude owns Bucs, ManU, and an NHL team I believe. Sounds like Gruden is an action figure in this dude's hobby of collecting pro teams.

5) Monte Kiffin is a Hall of Famer and is about to take his old HOF butt whereever Lane goes and Gruden will be screwed.

UT is:

1) No **** we are in turmoil. Why the hell do you think we fired our coach. Show me another coaching vacany were there isn't turmoil.

2) 18-22 who can't police themselves or teammates. How many NFL guys a year get shot or arrested? Gruden has done a good job with discipline and we need someone like him.

3) Its unlikely we are even 3rd best in the SEC. How long did it take Alabama? It isn't like we are Kentucky. UGA is overrated, UF will soon be rebuilding. LSU isn't what it use to be. Auburn sucks.

4) A school hungry for success isn't a bad thing. In the NFL they fire guys after the second game and midseason b/c the owner is playing with his own money. In college, it is not one person's money and coaches aren't axed near as quick. If anything, UT and Hamiliton are slow to axe coaches and maybe support them too much for too long.

5) This guy is a complete idiot. Yeah, Gruden isn't allowed to bring in his own coaches. More coaches come to UT from the SEC than leave UT for the SEC. And when Monte leaves, so will alot of other guys in TB.

6) This guy should shoot himself in the face.
