We are in T-R-O-U-B-L-E. That old looking white dude blew by everyone. What will the young phenom John Wall do to our defense? Last year it was Jodie Meeks making us look foolish when they couldn't stop a jumpshot. This year KY is gonna shoot like 75% because everyshot they take is going to be a layup by wall or postup by their bigs! We are screwed:bad:

the sky is falling

It Is! Pieces of the to Tommy Bol are collapsing and just like the old days me and my pops will move down to sit like 3 rows behind the Haslams because attendance is already dropping and is only going to get worse till another Chris Loftonesque player signs to play for CBP. We are back to a mediocre team. My Season tickets We have had in 314 row 1 since way back when will only be our entry ticket, for we will sit lower level from here on out!

Nope. I'm pretty sure were going to have one of those games where we can't miss a shot and beat Kentucky pretty good. Wall will probably go for 20 but I don't expect 54. G eez

Same here. Very sick of hearing about John Wall.

He does pop up on this board almost as often as UK boards.

As for the OP question, it could get ugly. That doesn't mean UT doesn't win the game, but that one aspect of the game could be ugly.

Edit: as I post this, I notice the "collegebasketballstore.com" advertisement at the top of the page is showing like 5 Kentucky shirts for sale. Ironic.

John Wall is about as amazing as it comes and will more than likely be a future hall of famer in the NBA. But still...Tennessee fans talk more about John Wall than their own players. There's a time and place and anytime someone points at a weakness of UT, for some strange reason, a guy we'll play twice this year gets brought up every single time X 4! Yes. John Wall is good. I get it lol.

no one will remember John Wall in 3 years if he doesent win UK a title so whats the fuss?

yeah, I'm sure everyone will wonder who he is while he puts up highlights on ESPN "top 10" on a weekly basis, while having Nike banners with his face on it in times square.

All while playing for the Nets, no less.

Scotty gave us something to talk about the first few games...but lately no one has been stellar. People have to talk about someone...

John Wall will do anything he wants against our defense.

speaking of Gerrity, I'll interject.

Wait until January 6th, when you will see the point guard that was so good that minutes-hungry Gerrity transferred, DiJuan Harris.

Harris and Michael Transferrity(our nickname for him) ran the point by committee in 2007-08, Harris started the season as a Walk-On JuCo and Transferrity became eligible after the fall semester, before the start to the 2008-09 and after a Labor Day trip to Canada in which Transferrity was out played by Harris, he decided to transfer, originally to an NAIA school before talking to U$C.

Transferrity's decision triggered a chain of events, where our SG Bowden started practicing to back up Harris, then broke his knee. Then SF Dewhurst tried his hand at backup PG, then after SF Wilderness injured his foot, Dewhurst blew out his knee against Maryland, at which point our season was toast. Playing 38 minutes a game, Harris still finished top 6 in APG and A:TO Ratio, and this year he is averaging 10+ points.

Charlotte fans are looking forward to the game in Knoxville, at least 2 busloads will be there, we are hoping to knock off a 2nd ranked team on the road, but you guys are stout. We get tested with Georgia Tech at home the Saturday before and should show us all where we stand.

Got any questions about Charlotte? ask us at Niner Nation.Net, I'd bet on more Niner fans showing up here the week of the game, most of us are good natured though.
