Will we have anybody drafted in the first round? I just don't think that Hardesty will have enough production to go in the first round. McCoy just hasn't lived up to his potential and is a possible 3rd/4th rounder IMO. And being how dinged up the big uglies have been, I don't think anyone would go 1st Round. What do you all think?

No.

And hardesty would be picked in the old day 1 area (which is now days 2-3 this year)

If Hardesty gets better and better throughout the season (not saying hes not already great) then he will be a first round rb in the draft.

He would have to have an absolutely impressive and near flawless combine workout for that to happen...
I really think he could go 2nd or 3rd round, he just has had too many injury issues....Now had he stayed healthy his whole career....Who knows?

If Berry stays healthy and is projected in the first two rounds, he's gone. For one thing I think his mom is not doing to good or something financial and he's close to his family. If taking care of them is a priority them it's likely. On the other hand may not like going out on a sour note if we don't do well the rest of the year....who knows at this point.

I want him to stay but if he is smart he will go because more often than not it comes back to bite the players that stay another year

I'm not sure that Berry stock has risen this year..It may have even fallen a little bit.. I'm not sure why but there doesn't seem to be the excitement around him like years past.. I can't figure out why though.. He is still a freakin' awesome player.. It seems like he was all over TV last year on every station... but you hardly hear anything about him now...

In McShay's rankings he was and still is ranked the number 1 DB. Did you watch the Florida game? He was all over the place...his draft stock has not dropped .01%.

Depends on what the team doctors say about Hardesty's previous injuries but he'll get drafted just don't know which round. I think Round 2 is the best he can do but more like Round 3 or 4. I just hope if Berry leaves for the NFL after this season he doesn't get drafted by the Raiders or Browns.

That is true he was all over the place in the UF game.. Please don't take my post as a detractor.. I think he is the best player in the country (JMO)..Maybe I just got spoiled hearing about him so much last year..

Yep...he's a top 10 lock. Hasn't slipped at all.

He'll be the first DB taken, and likely the first defensive player taken.

Now that Braylon is out of Cleveland, (he was causing all the problems for Mangini that you are hearing about on the team) I think Mangini is a good coach and will have the Browns playing very well soon. Being a Bengals fan I dislike the Brownies but wouldn't mind at all to see him go to Cleveland.

If you take all the horrible teams in the NFL vying for the number 1 pick 4 games in the Rams are the only ones who would probably take a QB. Maybe Buffalo...

EB could very well go number 1.

Wow, you guys are really keeping up with next years' draft projections.

Berry is exactly where he was to start the season on Mel Kiper's big board.....#2 Pick behind Sam Bradford. Updated 10/7/09. Best and Spiller are the top two rated RB's right now. My guess is that Hardesty is definitely a 1st day draft pick but the only teams that have multiple 1st round talent are Oklahoma, Texas, and Southern Cal.
