Do any of you feel like he has to win 8 games to keep his job, or will he keep it with only 7 wins? I am thinking its 8 or bust, 7 gets him fired.

We'll never know because this team will win at least 8 games this fall and CDD will still be the HC at UT.

IF he manages to only win 7 games he needs to go. That said, I think he wins AT LEAST 8

7 not counting bowl. I don't think he survives a 6-6 year regular season. In other words, I don't see him coaching the bowl game if we go 6-6 even though we could win the game to go 7-6.

With exception to having massive injuries, anything less than winning 8 games with this schedule would be a failure IMO

I have talked to players on the team. If he does not win 8 games, it is a well known fact that he will be fired. The players as well as Dooley know it

Nine regular season wins minimum should be the expectation. Anything less he should be fired. We need to beat a decent team this year.

7 isn't enough. The reason being, I think, is because we would have to 5-5 heading into the last two games. The seat will be too hot, the fanbase will be too restless, and a move will have to be made.

If he wins 8 I say great but only 7 and he should be fired and we should move on to someone like Patrino or maybe Franklin. But even if he wins 8, if he has another 6-6 season or worse in next 3 years he is done. Even if Dooley doesn't make it, Tennessee is better off for having him and that's why he makes the millions.

If Tennessee wins 7 games, those 7 games better consist of at least two from Bama, Georgia, Florida and also with wins over Kentucky and Vandy as well. And if there is a loss to any of Georgia State, Akron or Troy, there better be a win over Bama in the final tally for the season. IMO, JMO, CDBFW9GTS

Can we please stop with Petrino and Frankiln as possible coaches.

Please.

I believe he could survive with 7 but your looking at he needs to like beat a couple of teams like Bama, S.C., and GA, and one of the other 7 needs to be say FL. I just believe we are looking at more like a 8 or 9 win season barring major injury to top players. But the injuries will have no part in his being or not being retained.

Why is this same freaking topic being rehashed over and over? Let me put a twist on this thing raised raised for the umpteenth time. If the Vols win all their games this season should CDD accept the UGA offer to be their head coach? If that doesn't smell good neither does the repeated question about the 7 games or less and getting rid of the guy. It's less the getting rid of than it is the persistent negativisim the topic advocates, perpetuates, anticipates as well as abdicates the success of our team. With attitudes like this maybe he should accept the UGA job is he wins 10+ or even the NC. Why hang around a program where so-called fans practically look forward to your stumbling or having mishaps?

Anything less than a national championship he gets fired! Get real people! I say he has to have at least 7 and I really don't want him to be on a timeline, but barring similar extraordinary injuries to Bray, Hunter, & Da'Rick then he should at least win 7 with the following season being the judgement season. We will probably win 8. Give them your support instead of your criticism please.
