If CJH Starts Faizon Brandon on Week 1, I Will...

Why does this thread even exist? What's the real point? I just don't get some minds. This is almost as bad as opinionated journalism, which is a huge problem imo. It's just persuasion.
Why on an open forum are people giving their opinions? Really?

What do you think happens on open forums?

During games, one guy says "we've got to run it more" and another says "the middle is wide open for the slant, so why run?"

Are you missing the concept of open forums?

I wonder… Could these high school athlete NIL deals be structured such that they obligate the kid to go to that particular school in the future? I mean it raises so many questions. Could a kid be on NIL in high school and then flip to another school Subsequently?

And also to raise the obvious legal point… We’re talking about minors who are less than 18 years of age. How could they enter a legally binding contract without the possibility of escaping it?

Could we literally tie up Marshall Manning at this juncture and obligate this ninth grader to attend the University of Tennessee in four years? This defies rational thinking. These are kids we’re talking about. They changed their minds like we changed diapers on them.
Good questions. What do you think of an Nil deal tied to SPAM? Go back and watch the 2 minute + video of the skit. Sorry SPAM on the brain. Think of the chant...SPAM...SPAM....SPAM...vikings descending...ok I'll try to stay on topic...again interesting questions...

Be happy either way because;

ITS FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE

Unfortunately, the university doesn’t pay me millions of dollars lol. Which means I’ve just gotta keep hope the coaching staff and everyone above that has us pointed in the right direction.

Anyways, GBO

Play calling is going to be ridiculously conservative. Regardless. We are going to lean very hard on our running game until a quarterback proves that he can be clutch. Regardless of who starts, we're not going to be slinging the ball all over the field. This is going to be one of those seasons where the success or failure is going to rise and fall on the improvement in our defense

HOPE he was the BEST Choice, and watch for George to hit the Portal.
The reverse holds true as well. If Gmac is the starter, watch Faizon start elsewhere in the SEC opening of the season 2027.

I assumed it was after they commit and surely there would be some stipulations

What's interesting is it's almost invisible to fans, I think, because there's little attention to HS NIL deals. I saw the Faizon Brandon deal because he had to sue NC to make NIL legal in HS there and I saw a news story on his lawsuit when I googled him looking for HS game video.

Without that, who'd look at an HS kid and think he's getting $1.2M?

NIL is legal in TN. If DGG in Chattanooga commits to us or Ohio State, one can bet an NIL deal is somewhere around but can we ever see it?

Did Peyton get Marshall his Tennessee NIL $$$ yet?

Lock down those 5* players in grade school... or maybe just upon birth, based on genetics .

Is there another family besides the Manning’s in modern times that has had multiple QBs in the NFL?

I know other positions have had at least a father and son or brothers make it to the NFL but I’m blanking at the QB level.

If CJH STARTS...not plays, but starts...Brandon week 1 then I will be nervous for the rest of the season.

It tells me coach has no faith in a guy that's been in the system basically three years, so no backup plan at QB. If this season comes down to nothing but the play at QB it may be the end of CJH.

That said, I'll be nervois the opposite direction as well if Brandon ball out because people around here will put unobtainable expectations on this team.

Not "no faith" in G-Mac but "more faith" in Faizon Brandon.

Would you say Heupel had "no faith" in Hendon Hooker because he started Milton?

It's not all or nothing. QBs, like all positions, get evaluated and ranked and coaches must make a call on a starter.

Wasn't it Hurts and Tua at Alabama? Would you say Saban had "no faith" in either of those guys?

Nervols.

I think you’ve accidentally coined a great new word.

Thinking about this team definitely makes me Nervols.

I like MacinTyre, but if Failzon is the choice, may he be equipped with a deadly Wilson spear and killer passing arm to go with it.
