Do we have any other qb's we are looking at.... If turns out to be another Crompton... as in "a good high school qb but not a good college" Just wondering:p

I just dont see how any QB can be as bad as Crompton is right now. I just dont see it. I dont think Stephens could be worse their is just no way.

Lets not jump on the pessimism boat just yet bro...lets at least let him throw a pass first and hand off to bryce or oku at least once...

I think if we get another QB it will be Cam Newton unless one of the top QB's that already committed verbally changes their minds, i.e Scroggins, Simms ect.

How about NO on Newton?

UT will probably try to sign another QB this year. Stephens has an arm and time in the system. I'm not saying next year is a write off but with very little returning on the OL my expectations are lower than this year. They're going to be rebuilding the whole line and if there was anyone they trusted on the roster now then Vlad wouldn't have played the number of downs he did.

So IMHO, next year will be a true rebuilding year on O with Stephens the likely starter... maybe Lamaison. In '11, UT should be much more talented and then there will be competition between Bray and whoever else they sign between now and then.

Bray will not fail. He has the heart and the desire to be the next great Tennessee QB.

Yea, he said last week on Tony Basilio's radio show, he likes this staffs style of offence cause it gets you prepaired for the pro's. A QB that will fail doesnt speak like that, especially ones that are 17 yrs old.

When John Crompton was young he told his dad he would play in the NFL. It doesn't really mean much.

I believe Bray will be just fine as well... but when Crompton came here we were told he was the second coming of Heath Shuler... so I was just asking if we had any other qb prospects we might be looking at. Never liked putting alll my eggs in one basket

What kid didnt tell their daddy they was gonna be a pro athlete? Its different when a 17 yr old kid has the confidence to say it on national radio!

I am not trashing Bray.... He is a Vol now and I want him to suceed and hope he does... but I have the same hopes for Crompton and did when He came here... No agenda here

As I recall the year we took Manning we also recruited a pretty good qb out of Texas named Brandon Stewart... just wanted to know if anyone else might be on our boards

I think we absolutely need another qb in this class. They are still "evaluating" film. Maybe they are working like heck. I really wish we'd kept Boyd, but that's all behind us now.

I think they have to find another qb that can possibly compete. They're out there somewhere. Or we can steal somebody. Heck, if i were Blake Bell, I'd reconsider. I'm just saying...

What if Bray were to get hurt....what if he were to reconsider....these are valid concerns...where would that leave us then....probably not a bad concern to have imho
