ESPN's Bob Davie spent five years with Urban Meyer at Notre Dame and has a good indication of what to expect out of the Florida offense this season. And the former coach said everything would hinge on Chris Leak.

An overrated coach with an overrated QB. Hey Chrissy, know what dirt tastes like?

Thats about what i took from that article. Keep Leak in the pocket under our super quick D-line and blitz.

I really believe this could be a lopsided win for us if injuries don't hit us big in the UAB game.

I'm sticking with my pick of 38/10.

I don't believe Meyer's offense will work at this level and even if it were to have some success, he doesn't have the type of QB in Gainesville to run it right now.

Leak gets really rattled when he gets hit.

Our front 7 will keep him on his butt.

Nothing would make me happier than blowing the Gators out at home after the media has been kissing UM's buttocks. (Well, beating LSU at home would make me happier...)

OLDVOL mentioned the ugly word! (injury)
I think we can go to Fla healthy we have the entire week for dints and dings and prep work. We must come out of Fla with a win and again as injury free as possible. Regroup and prep for Baton Rouge.

Something that i believe gets over looked ? Do we "UT" do enough or if any? Wet ball drills? I havent seen any from the practice video nor heard CPF speak of it. There should be reps on what ever day, with our QB's, Centers, WR's, and RB's with a hose.

:hi: Now we really know where the Yourbane Myth came from. :clapping: Apparently, Yourbane learned his system while at Notre Dame under that truly successful coach Bob Davie.

You know, this makes me wonder. If the Yourbane System is so great and unstoppable why was the System so ineffective when Davie and Yourbane were at Notre Dame? :dunno: Does anyone not recall what a failure Davie was when he marched around with whistle in hand under the oversight of Touchdown Jesus? :devilsmoke: :gun:

I saw that article.

Was really surprised he coached under Davies.
Davies wasnt particulary successful at Notre Dame, he was fired.

I thought Davies comments were pretty sound and reasonable, and coming from someone intimately familiar with meyers coaching style.

Chris Leak and Brodie Croyle will be on their back more than Jenna Jamison when we play them.

Wow, a bammer/gator/porn reference all in the same post, impressive! :lolabove:

I just wonder if Leak, after being mediocre for so long, has the ability to change his mindset and be successful. It's a tough transition from being nothing special to all of a sudden having to lead a team. Meyer may have some interesting ideas about motivation, but you can't force it on anyone. I don't think Leak has the "IT" factor to lead the gators.
