Freak,

I am sure there are some posters on here who have lost their jobs over this that could use some help.

Is there any way we can somehow figure out a way for those that need help to privately contact you and those of us willing to help somehow get either gift cards for groceries or some form of PayPal going for utility bills etc?

Something very simple were a poster emails you requesting for help and you simply post the need without naming the person and then someone sees this post and says yes count me in and steps up and helps.

It's just an idea....

Not for nothing, but I think most of us who are in a position to help are already providing assistance to friends, neighbors, and family members who have been affected. Not that we shouldn't give till it hurts, but charity begins at home. Hopefully, everyone who needs help will get it somehow. It's been my experience that those who have the least give the most, so don't expect much from government fat-cats. We have to rely on each other to get us through.

Both me and my wife are still working. We have been blessed with good jobs so we like to bless others. We are dividing our stimulus money up to give to families that have lost jobs, or sick...etc. I think those of us that are still working need to follow suit.

Props to you and your wife. That is absolutely awesome, but it's also kind of sad that average people are having to give up their small handouts just to keep others afloat.

I agree. Think about it. How long will $1200 or $2400 really last a person or family who has lost a job or owns a small business that has had to shut the doors? It will be gone quickly. Even quicker using it to buy TV’s and video consoles. Lol. I personally think it should be a weekly amount until that person/s gets back to work. I mean we have professional athletes getting upset because they are only getting paid $5000 to $10,000 per week. I don’t understand that either. They are not essential. They need to hit up the unemployment lines as well. And contracts don’t mean a thing during these times. Trust me, I know many people who are under 3-5 year contracts that have been null and voided over this. Anyways, hopefully this will pass soon and we can all get back to college football....I mean work and normalcy.

Not everyone who is still working has a "good" job and the stimulus is a great boost to their savings. Or perhaps they need a car or car repairs or home repairs they wouldn't otherwise be able to swing.

Just something to think about.

Hopefully the 2k a month stimulus passes and will give some relief. Me and a few friends have been grilling and smoking meat on our days off and delivering it to people. My wife and I have been helping family and friends out with food and financial help as well. I hate it that people are suffering because of this and I hope the stupid overreacting ends soon.
