Ideal itinerary for night games?

Coming down for the Kent State game. We are an orange blooded family, but my daughter is a senior at Kent. Been awaiting this game for years. We are renting a house for her and some of her college friends. Since this is a night game, what does everyone recommend in regards to maximizing our time? We wanna get on/near campus early and enjoy everything the environment has to offer.

What time should we arrive?
Where do we want to eat?
Any pre-game events that are must see, aside from Vol Walk?

We've been to plenty of games, but this is our first night game. TIA

The tailgates are amazing and everyone is very friendly. Vol Walk is at 5:30. Calhouns on the river is a good restaurant on the river right near the stadium, its a staple. And anything on Market Square is good as well and easy to get to the stadium from. Parking wise I would park at State Street garage, its completely free and should be plenty of spots.
