One seed was gone for good when Florida beat Bama on the road. We were never going to be a 1 over Florida when they have a better conference record and road wins over Bama and Auburn. Once that game ended, our game against Ole Miss became irrelevant. As is the SECT for us. We are down to what everyone finds most important anyway, win four NCAAT games.

2 seed is great and it’s all about getting a fair draw and how we execute in the tourney. A 1 seed doesn’t automatically put you in the F4, still have to win games. GBO!

2 seed now at the moment.

(I’m also presuming their game last night game also bumped Florida up to a 1 seed…which, pretty good story/season for a team that started the year ranked in the 20s).

I’m not a troll. I kind just be a negative Nancy sometimes because that’s how things go from time to time; negatively. I’m just genuinely curious if a loss this late to an unranked team and being almost middling in conference could result in dropping from the second seeds.

We are essentially the #5 team in the nation in the committee's eyes.
Even if we lose to South Carolina we will stay on that #2 seed line. None of the probable #3 seeds have any real case to jump us.
Albeit unlikely, don't forget Flordia or Houston could lose tmmrw. Either of those losses happen and the #1 seed door opens up.
Maybe just a very small crack, but open nonetheless.

Unfortunately it looks like they have been bumped up to a 7 and we have dropped to a 2 and can create that potential matchup again.

We were #5 overall as ranked by the selection committee on 2/15 and went 5-1 after that to close the regular season. Please explain to the rest of us how that is “middling.”
