Actually top 3 worst of all-time. Not entertaining at all, and they all for the most part tried nearly the exact same dunk.

Yeah, not too good. I thought George was alright but I'm also bias. He was good enough to be the 3rd or 4th best in a good dunk competition. Not really sure about Evans winning. His one dunk was awesome, probably the best of the night but overall I thought George was better.

The dunk contest died long ago at the hands of Vince Carter.

VC's dunk contest had very thick competition. I remember being very impressed by McGrady and Francis. Stackhouse went reverse 360 and pumped the ball back with both hands and jammed it hard. The crowd was completely unresponsive because they had just seen VC's first dunk.

That contest spoiled us forever. All the memorable dunks (and there are a lot of them) all had at least some sort of original twist to them.

All of the dunks that are physically possible have been done. No sense in complaining about it.

There just has to be somebody in the nba that can do a 720.

The problem with the dunk contest is that the best aren't out there.

Back in the day the best talent wanted to be in, now guys don't care and we end up with scrubs that nobody knows doing the same dunks over and over.

2000 dunk contest was legendary. Wish the stars would still do it. I'd love to see Lebron James, Rudy Gay, Dwight Howard, and Blake Griffin go at it.

Last night's dunk contest was a slap in the face of greats like George Gervin, Dr. J., Dominque Wilkins, MJ, etc... Embarrassing.

The only way it'll get better is if they can get John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Griffin, and Lebron to do it.

Didn't Lebron say he'd be in it this year after the one last year?

Either way, ten years ago, you could find the best athletes in the game at the dunk contest. Now it's almost entirely composed of dudes who wouldn't have any other shot of ever being a part of the all star weekend.

To be honest, I thought the Rising Stars (Rookie-Soph) game was by far the best part of the weekend.

The dunk contest from 2000 was the best imo. Carter was killing it and the crowd was crazy.

Even if I dont remember it :p
