For a great time in College Station, especially SingleMaltAggie who opened up there tailgate to some weary Vol fans. Thanks again SMA we had a great time! Though a win would have been the icing on the cake sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way. Good luck my Aggie friends and know when you come to Knoxville we would be honored to host your group. Go Vols!

I'm glad you had a good time in Cstat. Like I said in the other thread, weirdest game I've ever seen and Tennessee outplayed us by a long shot and we were lucky to win that game. I still can't fully formulate my thoughts about it.

Great venue and classy fans. Really nice stadium. They got a lot of value in their renovation.

nigel warrior was cheated out of a great play... :(

I was watching the game at a place that had no sound projected through so I couldn't really get an analysis on the hit, but I thought from watching the replays that it was textbook helmet-to-helmet targeting. But like I said, I was in a huge crowd of people and drinking so may not have read that accurately.

Thanks OP. Must have been fun. Good to hear from Vol who can appreciate these things and not be a whining blaming tittie baby bc we lost.

Helmet to helmet?? What I saw was shoulder to shoulder. NW was trying to be sure he hit him hard enough to keep him from the catch and let him know it would be that way for the rest of the game. Just football.

The way the rule is written I can agree why they called targeting but I don't get why it wasn't targeting on your player when he hit Berry with the crown of his helmet on the kick return. I saw too many penalties on the Vols that shouldn't have been called and too many on aTm that weren't called. Still, if we hang onto the ball it's a different outcome. Both teams played hard and it was a great game.

I second your sentiments. Our experience at A&M was fantastic. We had of been asked 5o times if we were having a good time, and if everyone was treating us well. They truly care how they treat the opposing team. One fan said "We are not LSU."

There is a tremendous amount of history and tradition on campus. We had a tour from a friend that is an Aggie grad. If you get a chance you need to go. We will all go to Knoxville in 2023, or when ever it is.

I hear that is not the case for Texas University.

Agreed, Kyle Field is a great venue for a game and the Texas A&M fans were great before, during, and after the game. Loved the game minus the last PLAY and all the fumbles!!! Hope I can watch the rematch in Atlanta.

We also were treated fantastic BUT their cheers are so gay and it took away from the big game experience. Wasn't close to as loud as Neyland, Florida, Bama, Georgia, Auburn are all louder than A and M. I blame that on some of those stupid towels, because a lot of aggies think if they are waving a towel they are doing good but that's all they do, no noise.

Overall... fantastic trip, one of my fav places so far in SEC and that made my 12th SEC stadium to watch the Vols.

Glad you guys made it to the tailgate. I'm just now sobering up and today is rough!

You guys represented well and I'm ready to see Neyland.

Totally concur about this road visit! Helluva football game, VERY physical and a ton of turnovers marred what could have been a very different outcome. I hate that we lost the football game, but the A&M fans were very humble and gracious in their victory. Read my post entitled "7 Takeaways ...." posted earlier today. From A Corpus Christi Vol4life!

Yeah the drive to Austin was a little rough this morning. Everyone appreciated your hospitality and maybe we meet again in Atlanta this year.

I was there on the last row of upper deck. I could see Tennessee from my seat. Aggie fans were very gracious before and after the game. They were good hosts that knew they barely escaped a humiliating defeat.

Talked to an Aggie that said he had been going to aggie games for 20 years and never seen so many visiting fans. Orange was everywhere. Many other comments on how loud our minority was.

We had an excellent time with many Aggies this weekend. We looked for Single Malt but didn't find that group. The ones we did find fed us well and were genuinely nice and good people. Lots of cold beer and good times. The campus is beautiful. Great atmosphere for football. Thanks to all the Aggie for the hospitality. Shame we lost but that's football.

You unfortunately missed a great tailgate, SingleMaltAggie and his friends made this a great time.

I agree with the targeting call on Warrior. Ref have been consistant, when there is a launch and a head hits a head they call targeting. Doesn't matter that their shoulders also hit. Warrior knows the rule and I feel sorry for him. But it wasn't necessary to blow the ATM player up. A lower hit would have done the job. But it's harder to decleat someone who that way. It was a look at me play.
In my opinion targeting should have been called on the Berry hit. This looks like targeting when I read the rule. The old spearing rule even fits.
