"I won't know until I watch the film..."

That really is the best way I've heard it described.

I'm trying to put the whole thing into an offensive context.

"Okay, from the back of our own end zone, the quarterback just sort of flicks the ball. The receiver gets under it in their end zone for a touchdown. Any questions?"

"Yeah, won't wind resistance and gravity prevent the pass from going more than 30 yards?"

"Look, this offense is built around opposition to physics. We're not restrained by these silly 'absolutes' and 'laws' any more, you moron. Did Isaac Newton ever play football? Did Galileo ever put on a pair of pads? Did Riemann even know what a football was? Then what do they know, and what do any who listen to them know?"
