I was thinking today how hard it is to be a Vols fan

It's not for the faint of heart. That's for damn sure.

But it is so worth it. You can't love something as hard as most of us love the Vols and expect an easy road.

Bickering, and fighting, and all the crap that comes with the passion ... you just have to be willing to take it. Cause it's worth it.

There are programs across the country who will never ever reach the level of fan passion that we have at Tennessee. It makes us crazy, happy, stupid, pissed, excited, giddy, and every other emotion you can have when you are passionate about something.

I don't know what the outcome is gonna be with the coaching situation. But I do know I'd rather be on this roller coaster with you nuts than anywhere else.

Go Vols!!

You think its hard up there, try living down HERE and dealing with some of the idiots I deal with...Gator fans Nole fans, Cane fans who in reality feel our pain and do not talk trash to me...In fact I've had some who will back me up in a heartbeat against over zealous gator fans...All of them say they hope Dooley stays forever and even if he leaves they aren't worried because UT NEVER hires anyone good to coach football...I always end it by telling them to go back to New York and stop bandwagoning.

heck, i have to restrain myself from beating up a vol fan i know. they say they are all vol but gave us no chance at bama and talk about bama as a dynasty, it makes me want to punch them and knock their teeth out. it's not easy being a vol fan especially the last 5 years.

Tell them to come back & talk trash in 60-70 years, because thats how far Fla & FSU have to go before they match our tradition for winning!

Noles fans are easy to deal with, just remind them of 1998..and the gator fans..I haven't met anyone that is really a fan down here..all bandwagon, don't even know who Chris Leak is/was. A girl at work went to a frat house one night while her husband was out of town on business and now she's the #1 gator fan; at least her license plate says that. Tennessee has been playing football and winning championships before any gator fan knew how to spell football so it isn't too rough to be a Vol fan, even in Floriduh.

What makes you think Gruden will be any better than Dooley?
He has no winning record in the NFL unless your counting the Superbowl which was with Dungys team, not his and then he loses again and again until he's fired.
The man has never coached College football. This is about as moronic as it gets. Fans like you make us a laughing stock. We better find some players that want to play for Tennessee no matter who coaches, we expected a lot this season but tell me the truth why? We have two receivers and a sometimes QB that decides to quit in some games and its all blamed on the coach. Oh and unless you have 5-7 million dollars to play off the present and then money to pay a new coach plus keep paying Phil and Pearl just sit down and hang on.

Your kidding right? Hmmm it's looking like Florida will take this steak to at least 10 years and they owned the 90's and Peyton and what the Gators didn't own the semis did with Alabama sticking their heads in every once in awhile. We have one great year and we have a winning tradition. I wasn't alive when we had a winning tradition. We have been in decline for 20 years prove me wrong, I wish I was.

It's not a whole lot easier where I am. We're overrun with UGA fans and Bammers and Gators. Gross.
