The team may be moving on to UGA but I really want to drink this victory in. I wouldn't normally do this but I went in search of some gems on Swamp Gas, this is what I found:

I somewhat agree with OP. But oddly, it doesn't really hurt that much. I don't see the killer instinct or the fire from this team or this coaching staff. I see over confidence and an aw shucks we'll get em next time attitude. I don't see Mac or Nuss seething with a desire to hang half a hundred on anyone. RUTS isn't in their vocabulary at all. I don't see the intense, personal hatred of losing that we saw with our two great coaches, SOS and Meyer. In short, I think we've found our Mark Richt.

Can't argue I suppose.

If you are not outrecruiting everyone, you better be outcoaching people. Our staff is doing neither.

I've never seen Danielson and Verne so anti-Florida... ever. I absolutely cannot stand the way these guys are announcing this game. Usually they are pretty fair. Today they have been sniffing Vol jock.

I hope the coaches are screaming about complantency. This is the type of score at the worst time of the game to feel any competency at all. Obviously don't need to say how much ball is left. Its still possible for last half to feel like a year ago. Hope they keep their fire.

These two see the writing on the wall, I'll be looking for the exact moment the rest of the thread realizes what is happening.

Following their second consecutive 3 and out after we scored to make it 21-10, multiple people posted similar sentiments, the jig was up it would seem.

Sorry but I wanted to see what this team really was made of playing a real team and from cover to cover, this team just isn't there at all. The first half was great but since then we have sucked about as bad as any team I've seen this year that wasn't Ole Miss. Playcalling has sucked, we don't hydrate at all, we can't cover when we need to, can't run when we need to, can't make the stop when we need to. Now GatorCountry has imploded and the UT board is laughing at us. Karma.

A handful of comments after we scored to make it 38-21, the whole board has lost it's fire, they are bickering with each other.

Handing off on 90% of the 3rd quarter offensive plays doomed us. we moved away from what was working and when that got shut down and UT scored on their turns, confidence was shattered and Appleby was put on the spot. Clear, that wasn't a good thing!

We didn't need them to stop our offense, we needed to get our defense back on.
Appleby didn't lose this game, our defense did. They just did it all in the second half instead of peppering it in the whole game.

Half of them are blaming the play calling the other half are running the defense ragged for talking so much before the game. Love. It.

At this point in the game Florida is mounting a drive and almost no one in the thread is paying attention, or seems to care. This was one of only a few posts talking about the action on the field.

This is a clear understanding of what happened. I completely blame the sit-on-it strategy. It killed all the great momentum we had.

I know Macelwain(sp? eh who cares) came from Bama but... did they not see the kind of offense they ran there? Nothing fancy, just a pro style workman like offense, seems like everyone wants fun and gun back, who could blame them really?

Lots of folks had this attitude during UFs late drive, they didn't recognize that we were laying off keeping everything in front to avoid the big play. We gave up the touchdown sure, but UF had to use over 3 and a half minutes to get there.

UT started giving a 5-yard cushion to every receiver to run clock.
