We need a new offensive coordinator and scheme. Something.

And even when he has the superior talent he never wins big, he does just enough to pull out the W

And to be honest we should have 2 more losses vs App St and GA...... then we beat Fl w/ out their starting QB..... and that is why I don't have faith in Buch as I can see the fine detail in the Wins...

Of course saban cheats. You really think all those 5 stars wanna go to Tuscaloosa? However everyone else cheats too A $500 handshake here or there a mortgage payment etc. is the norm. You are kidding yourself If you don't think tn does it. The difference is saban is good at it and gets more blue chippers than most. As for the game, bama knew what we were going to do before we did it so I'll let you figure that one out for yourselves.

I still for the life of me cannot figure out why he is so successful. He is a miserable, sawed off little SOB, who I cannot imagine connecting very well with 16-18 year-old kids. You know they are cheating, have to be.

I agree with the cheating. There's some under the table off the radar something going on. I keep holding out hope that one day it'll get discovered and all their wins will have to be vacated.

He has met the expectation every year. Unfortunately, he doesn't give you more than that. The Expectation by many was 10-2 with an appearance in Atlanta. We are still in position to reach that goal and I have confidence that we will, but I have also learned not to hold my breath for much more.

I would argue though that TN may be able to win a National Championship with Butch. Butch can get a lot out of his team, but truth is when you play in the SEC there is no room for error. Having to compete with teams like Bama year in and year out make it difficult to earn a spot in the NC. Look at last year's recruiting rankings that show that 5 out of the top 10 classes were from SEC schools. Granted, I know TN has done fairly well with recruiting, but they still have to compete with all those schools who pull in top classes as well. Its' not as likely to exceed expectations in such an environment. Butch is doing his best to build a program that reaches that upper echolon, but this step will be much harder to break through. Do it once and more success will follow. I think Butch will eventually get there and believe in him. Next step is to lure Peyton who will in turn lure in even more QB and offensive talent.
