They were great in the sense that they did the things you have to do to win the game. They scored, forced turnovers, pressured the qb, limited the run. Like I said, we are not talented enough to be dominant but with CJP, his scheme and the kids effort, the D rates an A today!

I agree overall but actually thought the first drive AU scored on when we got close to them we form tackled well. Or at least the secondary did. We just never got close to them until they had 8 yards.

Yeah after the first drive I thought I’d be outside doing yard work by half time. They made adjustments and arrogant Gus didn’t. Anyone see Gus comments going into half time? “We should be up a lot more than we are”. Lol...he got what he deserved, and we did too...finally!! Proud of them staying after it.

Missed too many tackles in the early part of the game but played much better in the 2nd half.

Great? Not even close. But continuing to improve. We are starting to get some decent pressure on QBs. Stidham is a mobile QB and we did a pretty good job on him. Tackling definitely needs to improve. Hard to believe that we have upoerclassmen who cannot execute simple things like effective tackling.

Seems defense played pretty well. But generated by the extra rest and confidence the o showed today. Its alot of pressure on thed to know that you have no chance of winning if you cant hold them to 14-17 points. Plus.you are in the.field the whole game. With the game plan today and the execution, it took that pressure off.

Defense had some miscues but got more than enough done to win the game so that's all you can really hope for at this point.

This is the kind of game they can feed off of though.

Stidham looked like sh$$. Zero poise under pressure today.

About that last touchdown for Auburn, that was not a catch and matter of fact it was an interception.
