Fulmer needed one more year...FIRE the OC and one more year with someone else as OC


Fulmer and Chavis won the game today...the OC didnt have anything to do with it...The OC wanted to pass and Fulmer put his foot down and coached!

Lets just hope we didn't fire a Hall of Fame coach to bring in another Clawson...but this time as Head Coach.

I hope I am wrong.!!!

This ain't basketball, and Buzz Peterson was no Phil Fulmer (regardless of how bad he's been since Clausen the 1st left)

Yeah, I wanted Fulmer gone, and am happy we are going to get a new coach, but don't compare it to Peterson, who had done nothing.


And there's no guarentee that hiring a young up and comer means we'll end up with another Bruce Pearl.

You are wrong. We are in football purgatory right now and the only thing that keeps my hopes up for the future, is knowing that papa fulmer is gone and better times are ahead. If you get a boner from beating Vandy, then you need to raise your expectations.

I wouldn't have been mad if Fulmer had gotten one more year. But he should have long ago put his foot down and told Clawson to do what was necessary to win games, if that was the problem.

A few years back, when Casey Clausen was hurt, we had a game where we won by running the ball 70 times against a team that was physically inferior. Sometimes you have to win a game that way when you don't have a quarterback. But it doesn't mean you're a coaching genius.

I guess you think they worked like heck last week against Wyonming then dont you. Are you kidding me? Even though we won this game today it looked like it was our 1st game of the year. You are right about one thing, Phil should not have been let go this year, he should have been let go 3 years ago.

I truely believe Clawson cost Fulmer is job. It was a bad hire just like Tony Franklin at Auburn. Tommy Tuberville saved his butt when he got rid of TF and Fulmer should've did the same after Auburn. Fulmer could've made one more run but I am certain he would've never won another NC.

Giving him one more year was BS b/c we all know he would've somehow did enough to buy him another then another. The next thing you know, its 2011 and we are still b*tching b/c we lost another SECCG.

Here's the difference between CPF and the top SEC coaches. Every 4 years they win a SEC championship and play/win a National Championship. Every program has to rebuild and you can't do it ever single year. You can however do it once every 4 years. CPF has had 3 chances to build a case. He has made it to the SECCG every 4 years since the NC in 98. However, Miles, Meyer, Richt and Saban, they win it when they get a chance. We lose and there goes 3 years worth of rebuilding.

All the Fulmerites have resurfaced and if we went 6-5 next year and went to another toilet bowl all the D.A. would be happy thank you move on go sit in his drive way next year or cut his grass or better yet join Buzz wherever he is at

There were more then a few Titan fans that wanted Fisher gone.

I really dont think they would be 10-0 right now if they had fired him after 2006 season
