Freeze is a proven SEC commodity and having him running the offense allows Pruitt to put all his focus back on the D. It just makes too much damn sense
I'm all for forgiveness n 2nd chances. I do not want our University tarnished with negativity but at the same time it's about time we join the club of all these other programs who do it and get praise for it. I'm ready to win again and complete on a regular basis.
Tennessee football is dead. We need something to bring this thing back to life. This is the type of spark we need to finish the class and actually have a chance on the field.

What Freeze did was scummy but the man should be given a chance to redeem himself imo. I believe the rewards he could bring to our offense is worth the risks. Put him on a short leash and give him an opportunity to turn his career around.
Well if it is true on that Helton was a done deal before Vandy. You have to wonder if things with Freeze were not already in the works? Just make sure you give him a burner phone for his hooker calls.
If Nick Saban had gotten what he wanted, Hugh Freeze would be in Tuscaloosa this week helping Alabama prepare for its annual A-Day spring game. It's what the former Ole Miss coach wanted, too. The Southeastern Conference, though, wasn't in favor of that happening.
Alabama was one of at least five SEC schools that had contact with Freeze about on-field jobs this offseason. Saban wanted to hire Freeze as a co-offensive coordinator and position coach, sources told AL.com. However, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey encouraged Alabama not to hire a man as well known for the personal shortcomings that led to his Ole Miss resignation as he is for his success as a coach.
It's the primary reason why Saban, the highest-paid and most powerful coach in college football, couldn't add Freeze to his staff this offseason, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation who provided previously unreported details about Alabama's pursuit of the former Ole Miss head coach.
He would have to get approval from the SEC and I have doubts that he would get it. There were rumors that Saban tried to hire him last year and the SEC blocked him.
